  1. Eeesh Bogo almost coughed up a gift in the slot....ugly, ugky.
  2. I'm amazed the ducks didn't just score there. Sabres showing no urgency in the d zone....just standing there watching Kane with ROR and eichel now....ddb going all out. Is this a desperate move by a desperate man to save his job?
  3. Kane having a nice shift Bogo with a great turn over Ice seems tilted in the ducks favor this period.
  4. The syntax was influenced by the day, yes.
  5. Decent period by the Sabres. I'll be amazed if the Jack and ROR line doesn't pot ato least one. The big difference in see is that Anaheim is getting sustained zone pressure whereas buffalo goes in, gets a chance and it's out again.
  6. Amazing pass by eichel....shot high and wide....
  7. Jack just got slashed down to the ice. I don't understand what the refs are atching
  8. Moulson just got drilled with a shot...he might be injured
  9. Nice drive early by Eichel
  10. I predict the Sabres finish 26th and don't place in the lottery.
  11. Caught the last seven minutes of the third. Meh.
  12. Why is Gorges coming back even being discussed? He's under contract next year and with his contract, we're stuck with him. That point seems moot. I can maybe understand some wanting Kulikov back to get a look at him not injured but I don't understand people wanting Fransen back.
  13. LA is four points out of a Wild Card spot, this is an absolute must win for them. From the BN: "The Sabres have lost three straight games in Staples Center to the Kings -- and all of them have been by 2-0 scores. Their last goal at Staples was scored by former captain Craig Rivet at 1:07 of the third period in a 4-3 shootout loss on Jan. 21, 2010. So the current scoreless streak in the building for Buffalo is 203 minutes, 53 seconds." That's amazing we haven't scored a goal there in 7 years. That's got to be some sort of record. I hope Jack has a big game tonight.
  14. I'll probably go to this, why not? It also looks like this will count as a "home" game for the Sabres due to the MSG - Rangers agreement. This means the Sabres will be playing in Barclays twice next year, MSG twice and Citifield once. Please, please, please, please have a new coach so I'm tempted to see the Sabres 5 times next season.
  15. At this point is there anybody on this board in the "Don't Fire Bylsma" camp, anyone who thinks he's good for this team? Nolan had a strategy he was able to employ that no other coach could during his first rodeo here: Play Hasek. Win games.
  16. There are two games on the remaining schedule that I absolutely want the Sabres to win. Other than that I agree with this. I don't see the Sabres current position in the standings changing much (maybe drop down 2 spots if we keep our losing pace) but the closer we get to the bottom, the better chance we have hitting the lottery for a top-3 pick, which I can see Murray trading to get real help on the blue-line. I'm not rooting for the Sabres to lose, but I am rooting for them to lose Bylsma.
  17. Yeah, I also forgot to put the date in the title. I'm literally the Drew Hogdson of starting game day threads. Thanks for fixing that, Mods. Go Sabres.
  18. Oooh, I'd forgotten about Grumpy Larry, I'll put him on my keepsies list as well but not Foligno and definitely not Moulson.
  19. "I would rather have Drew Stafford on the Sabres than ____________" My answer would be almost anyone in our bottom 6 not named Gionta and maybe Girgensons (or at least on the games he shows up).
  20. Wasn't he benching something like 225 prior to being drafted? Jack is a strong mofo.
  21. I'm much more concerned with when will Eichel have his first hat trick?
  22. Meh. I didn't watch the game so I can't comment on Peters but my only input here is that every time I hear Brad May speak on TV I can only think of all of the aspiring broadcasters out there and the job that he is taking away from someone who is actually competent in that field. I get it, you're a Sabre alumnus and you have a cup under your belt, great. You probably don't actually need this job to survive. Brad May is incapable of stringing together a handful of sentences, much less a continuing analysis of a hockey game.
