Also not reading the whole thread.. I did notice it. I think the cross-checks have bothered his back a bit. It's clear from the last page what the entire thread is about. McDavid is who you think he is. The speed he moved the puck for the first goal is only something he can do and i firmly believe that. I don't think ANY other player moves that fast. The shot on the second goal is a goal scorer's goal. Many goalies will be beat by that. The third goal was all on the defensive zone coverage. They had other lapses as well, including the goal that was waived off. They played well. Cozens might have looked the best he has ever looked. They did not beat the Skinner and did not hold off the best player in the world. They lost. They've played far worse than they did last night, so I can't get down on them. It sucks.. they needed a win. They also needed to not have that losing streak earlier in the year. Those losses then are just as bad as the losses now. Suck it up and get ready for the game tonight because this is everything.

Defense gets the shaft here. Forwards have two awards basically.. highest scoring and defensive. Why can't defense have the same? If the point of defense is to first play defense and THEN contribute to the offense.. Dahlin is a given.

I am ready for this one. I think it's Peterka who sits. Olofsson is needed for the power play (so is Peterka but he's unit 2 and Greenway could replace him) I haven't gone through last night's GDT but the team has the capability of winning this game.. they have to rise up and play it like it's the last game they need to win to get into the playoffs.. if they don't then I think they'll demonstrate they are not ready for that next level. I have faith. I think Greenway and Czikas go at it pretty early.

If you are in market, you need MSG. You can get MSG from cable/satellite operators, the only true streaming service that has MSG is FuboTV and yes you get Sabres games as its what I use. You cannot get TNT from FuboTV, but you can from DirecTV or Spectrum. You can get ESPN from all of them. ESPN+ is a standalone service or part of the Disney bundle. Verizon used to offer a discount on the bundle to its cellular subscribers. If you are out of market ESPN+ is the best option as you'll get MSG games. You won't get TNT games as those are national broadcast. So you'll need TNT if you want all the games.

This year.. but as has been noted. His style does not fit the Wild style this year. In his previous years he has put up points. He won't tear it up, but he doesn't suck. And he was a +26 last year.. as noted.. if he can help shutdown the opposition that's good enough for this team.

Asplund has done nothing for me this year in his limited time on the ice. I know you, and others, were high on him. I used to think more highly but this year changed my mind.

I realized I woke up this morning.. went downstairs to work and completely forgot it was trade deadline day until I went back upstairs and saw my son watching TradeCentre. Now I jumped on here.. saw the spectacular array of opinions... and I find myself still not caring that its trade deadline day. I am at peace with whatever happens. Everyone who is saying Buffalo could have matched the offer.. that's correct, I am sure they could have. What is everyone's thoughts on whether that offer was available for Buffalo match? That's been floated out there that the trade offers are not always the same for each team. If you operate under that assumption then do you not also have to allow that perhaps Buffalo did not have that offer on the table to match? There's so many unknowns and that's why it's hard for me to get upset about these things.

Sure, it remains to be seen what the correct course of action is. Just opinions of what the correct course of action is. Chychrun however didn't seem like a great target for me... not a bad one, but not worth the cost. Time will tell if it works out for Ottawa.. it very well might.

I'm going to be in the minority that isn't bothered by this at all. Not bothered if they don't make any big trade. I'm with others(perhaps not that many) that Chychrun just wasn't worth what Ottawa gave up.. let alone paying more than that. I can understand why people are upset.. but so far the management of the team has not deviated from their course. Having expectation that they will is probably driving some people insane. I don't expect anything big because so far they haven't done anything big, they've not indicated they want to do anything big.

It just means he's not supposed to put too much weight on the leg/foot. Doesn't mean it's the end of the world. Good teams overcome injuries. if the Sabres can't overcome this then they shouldn't be in the playoffs. Other players need to step up.
