Seems to me that the Bills were insistent on running the ball tonight. Almost as thought Allen's shoulder wasn't feeling 100%. Meh. No way that game should be close. Also, you have the ball on the 1 yard line and you line up in the shotgun? Fire the OC. He's a tool.

Hell no. One of my least favorite QBs to ever play the game. I am fine with his acting career though. 13 would not be available for me in that case because owning a Dolphins jersey would not be possible for me.

If he can play 3rd line minutes and make that line productive he has to stay. The top line needs to figure it out and as others have said... 71 needs to go. At this point I am a huge fan of a 71, 10, 1 package that brings back a defender. Put Krebs with 77 and 24 and let Jost take 4th line. It's clear Olofsson cannot play the Sabres game. Jokiharju is just too clueless out there... and UPL.. well.. anything to get a better player back is fine by me. 3 goalies cannot be the game all season.

They might be.. but that's the trouble with judging teams on a small sample size. Even if we are seeing similar traits defensively from the Sabres we are not seeing their offense like we know it can play. So, without the scoring it might be tough to judge the defense as they do have an impact on each other. The Sabres are not controlling the puck well now and that takes pressure of the D. We'll see where the season goes. But the Sabres are digging a bigger hole every game they lose.

Guess the Devils forgot when the season started. They're a bust.. clearly. One year fluke. Oh, what's worse, losing to the Coyotes or the Rangers? 😉

This is a hockey forum and you posted on it. So, it has everything to do with hockey. I don't know you, but you posted on here with absolutely no background information during a period of time where the vast majority of posters fall into the category the GIF insinuates. I apologize for insulting you and your father's memory. Finally, I hope the the last great memory of your father is not the only great memory of your father and if the Sabres are tarnishing those memories then perhaps it would be helpful to eliminate them from your life so you can focus on the the other great memories.

They aren't.. but there are people everywhere on the Internet who will be like that. This place is no exception. This is how people cope, they just come in here and go full on chicken little. Apparently they'll be okay... they apparently aren't suffering medical issues from their apparent stress. There's just one thing you have to remember.... You can't tell them to relax, even if they should. They get mad. Then they take it personal and respond with "I know you are but what am I?" or "Your Mom" type responses. That's when you get a good understanding of who they are, what they are about, and that unless you want to get drawn into it, you just need to learn to filter it out. Not that this comment is wrong.. but some people love to fret and worry over things. You can't suggest they don't because that also gets them upset. Bottom line? Some people just like to be upset. I don't understand it either, but if it works for them, so be it. The game was crap. I could hypothesize about the pressure of RJ, the pressure of making the playoffs, the desire to want to do so well that you aren't relaxed enough to play the game you are supposed to play. It doesn't change that the game was crap. The Rangers were playing Game 1 like Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Lots of room to improve, but if they don't figure out the 1-3-1 and they don't figure out how to not always try to setup one-timers on the power play they will suffer immensely. The Rangers just gave the league a blueprint on how to slow the Sabres down... now it's up to the Sabres to figure out how to beat it. I'd say on to tomorrow, but it is tomorrow. So just sitting here after my late hockey game, having a little Elijah Craig to slow the system before crashing for the night. My team also lost, I told them they all sucked and their families will hate them. They are a joke and they get paid too much to play the game if they are going to play like that. I also feel shame.. somewhere someone is going to watch the LiveBarn feed and light my ass up on some niche forum that rags on beer league players. 🙂

Skinner had teased "Firework" by Katy Perry. I would have preferred that. But.. we're good. I'll pour a nice Macallan 12 year Sherry Oak for the start of the game. The bottle would take a serious hit if not for me having to go skate at 10:10pm tonight. On the bright side, my game is late enough to allow me to enjoy the one I want to see.

Interesting point.. it fits with Granato. He wants an up tempo high pressure team that makes other teams react and want to prevent the Sabres offense through a defensive scheme. However, once a team establishes the zone on the Sabres all hell breaks loose. So he needs to coach that. In football, this would similar to not building up your defense because your offense is to potent only to run into troubles when your opponent's offense keeps your offense off the field.

It's really about if his penalties are off-set at the time they take them or if the Sabres score more PPG when he draws a penalty than they give up when he takes a penalty. It doesn't do the team any good if they only score 1 in 10 times on the power play if they give up goals 3 of 10 times when he's in the box.

Hmmm.. I never recall this happening until this past time I was there. Granted I did not buy much water, but my kid did. And there's a great idea right there. Not only that but I really hate single serve bottles.

I believe this. The points are nice but his ability to read the play and move the puck stood out for me. Like many other players in this situation, especially at his age, I am concerned about his ability to wither the grind of a 82 game season and playoffs. It's not a bad problem to have though.

This makes sense. The Sabres clearly do not want to just get rid of a goalie and so they are forced to keep all 3. They might want a trade, but at the same time teams know that no team wants to carry 3 goaltenders. It's a battle of wills, are teams like Tampa willing to go into the season with their goaltenders or are they willing to make a trade? Of course with more players still to hit waivers, and doing so now, that might change things. For example, is Martin Jones now an option for Tampa?
