still, they're main issue was the ineptitude of the offense. The defense played pretty damn well most of the season given the circumstances. Pettine announced that he will be hearing from the Browns later today. Hopefully he sticks around.

I think it's because those are two "coveted" player types at the moment, and rumors can fly rampant all season regarding players like that, but a player like Ott is a deadline type player.

I was talking about the philly series the year after that when Miller was the only player on the Sabres to show up for 5 out of the 7 seven games, but yes. And after reading his other posts, I realized what I had done. :oops:

:blink: Are you currently in the state of Colorado or Washington? This is just ridiculous. A borderline playoff team, and Miller backstops them to 2 1-0 wins (where we were heavily outshot) and puts one of the top playoff teams (Who was HEAVILY favored) on the verge of ousting on his own. If not for some ###### calls in game 6, Buffalo Miller wins that series hands down. And in regards to the other series, I was at a few of those playoff games in 06 and 07, and Miller was not the reason we were ousted. And Halak and Eliot will not win a team a cup. They will get you close, but they are not good enough to win it all as the #1 goalie on a team IMO. I'd much rather have Miller backed up by either Halak or Eliot.

I thought pinner has been gone from VAN? I love Tanev and also wished he hadn't left so soon. Glad to see him thriving.

I found out Tuesday that my friend lost his battle with cancer a lot sooner than anticipated. apparently he was in a good amount of pain, so I guess it's for the better. The gripe I have is that I can't get to California in such short notice to attend the funeral. His mom sent a bunch of us a letter though letting us know where we can send flowers etc, and that she doesn't expect all of us to make it out there. And LGR, I was recently in a wedding myself, and was given an odd gift as well. It took a little while for me to understand the meaning behind it, but maybe there's more meaning to not just yourself, but to the friendship that you guys have. Hope that helps.

agreed. Our first top ten defense in forever. That would be a HUGE void to fill. Not to mention it seemed like a lot of guys on defense finally realized their potential this past year...now I'm scared :(

Ithaca finally got some snow...just in time for it to melt. The puppy my girlfriend and I just adopted LOVES the snow, so just having it for a day for him to play in is great. He can burn some of the energy that he hasn't been able to with the low temps lately. As a pitbull, with the short hair, he doesn't like being outside for long if it's around zero.
