  1. that's my problem too haha
  2. set one up! I did notice this. I think 3 or 4 guys that Chris Brown interviewed were pumped, and that was the extent of who he talked to about it (i.e. Manuel, Woods, Hogan), but WGR or someone else interviewed Freddy, and noted that he was just extremely grumpy Sunday when he made the comments.
  3. this. I went through a mental list last night and was shocked at how many movies I just absolutely love of his! This is sad! :(
  4. I agree with both of you, as you both have great points. I just really think they are some of the lesser talented in the pool if you will.
  5. next up on greatest jokes of the decade...
  6. damn. now that's a good day.
  7. well...yeah. kind of how I felt popping into this thread.
  8. I really would like to know how Stewart was reckless in this situation. I've watched the video a handful of times. The driver in front of him swerves last second missing the kid, and Tony is up the track a little higher. I really don't think Stewart saw him until the last second and had an "oh Sh!t" accelerate to try to avoid moment. I don't race them though so I can't say with certainty that's what happened. I really don't think there was any intent. The kid was an idiot was running down the freaking track. Also, dirt track racing is Tony's passion. I know a lot of guys here in the finger lakes area that are dirt track junkies. That's all they do with their weekends in the summer. Many of them have raced Tony before, and they said it was awesome. lastly, Stewart should most definitely not be suspended the remainder of the season if there was no intent. That's just asinine. It was accident (until proven otherwise) caused by a hot headed 20 year old not thinking the situation through. Lastly I was glad to see McIlroy win the tourney. He deserved that one.
  9. I think I'm more satisfied with EJ after that performance.
  10. this is my point. If we can at least make the playoffs for 5 years out of ten, I'd take because it sure as hell beats the 0 out of 14.
  11. my bad. honestly forgot about him. Honest question for LGR and some others here: what are your thoughts on the other Manning? he has 2 superbowl wins, but his accuracy is in question quite a bit (as it should be since he's led the league in interceptions twice now I believe?). He isn't the most savvy but his defense carries him and two great wideouts have carried him (guys that go up and just catch the ball). I could see EJ becoming more of that kind of player. A guy who does just enough to get us there so long as the other pieces are where they should be. I don't think EJ is elite, nor have I seen people refer to him as elite (I believe there was a post about Watkins being elite, but that was it). You're grasping there. EJ has had some good moments, and I'm sorry that your pessimistic view of him has forbidden you to see those moments. He orchestrated a GREAT comeback drive over Carolina, and he almost orchestrated one against Atlanta, however, Stevie "it wasn't my fault" Johnson and Scott Chandler fumbled BOTH chances away. EJ did everything right in those circumstances. EJ did great against NE in his first pro game, and looked great against the Jets at home (minus the underthrow to Graham that ended up decent anyways). There were many great moments, but there many boneheaded moves too like not getting out of bounds in Cleveland, as well as a lot of underthrows or overthrows on the sideline. A big part of his problem last year though, IMHO, is that he didn't have the proper coaching or attention quarterbacks, especially young ones, need. His QB coach was his OC. Now that he has a true QB coach, I think we should start seeing a turnaround. I think it'll take this entire preseason for him to adjust , but I'm not going to judge the kid on 10 preseason snaps.
  12. so if Winston doesn't come out of school this year, then who is the undisputed top QB that we will be missing out on? because frankly, I don't see the need to draft another 1st round QB until the year after next (the next 1st round draft pick that we have).
  13. nobody in the top 3 next year is going to trade away their pick. Not with Winston coming out. And frankly I really don't forsee us being bottom 3, let alone top 10 pick. all reports are showing that Ebron is having a really tough time adjusting to the speed of the game and the different routes a TE needs to run. Anthony Barr has looked the part, but with Kiko and drafting Preston Brown (who we got as a steal I think), there really isn't a palce for Barr. And where does Lewan fit in? We already had a great LT. We got another in the 7th round bc of his character flaws, and he's actually doing better than Lewan per NFL.com's report earlier this week. what have Murray and McCarron done so far? EJ wasn't even supposed to be starting last year. He was supposed to be learning while a veteran had the reigns last year. I really think EJ will pull it together over the next two years, and he'll far exceed a lot of expectations. he needs time. Everyone knew coming out he had raw talent that needed developing. Jim Kelly wasn't the Bills greatest passer overnight. Other great quarterbacks have struggled their first year or two before putting it all together. give the kid a chance. At the end of this year, if he has shown 0 improvement, I will eat my words. until then, I will vehemently disagree with you
  14. I doubt it. Our defense isn;t taking that far of a step back. no way. Our O should win us at least 2 more games this year
  15. they had one last year. I didn't watch it but I heard it wasn't terrible (the ice that is).
  16. sorry to hear Chz! :(
  17. I really don't think we gave up too much for Watkins. He's been great in camp, and so long as we can get him the ball (whoever ends up throwing it), he's going to be great. I also don't think we would be in the top 10 next year in terms of drafting so it's really not that much lost. The defense will once again carry us, and I still think we can win 9 games. We were in almost every game last season with a revolving door at the 3 skill positions on offense, but our D held us in every game.
  18. I know it's cliche and all but keep hanging in there! You'll come out on top of this.
  19. A good piece for those who keep pointing out that Manuel is terrible...here's a little tidbit that may bring you closer to those of us who say give the kid a little longer of a look.
  20. these here. I don't want to barely make the playoffs only to lose in the first round. I'd rather draft the guy that is going to keep pushing us there and have a legitimate shot the following year.
  21. haha good point
  22. he played a whopping 10 plays, and at least 5 of those were just "hey, throw the ball and try to get comfortable and your feet back under you" plays. Manuel hadn't seen game action since the Jacksonville game towards the end of last year if I'm not mistaken. Manning played an entire quarter. Let's not start using meaningless stats to try to prove anything here. Also, Oakland, Jacksonville, or St Louis will move before Buffalo does. Count on it.
  23. I'm a Yankees fan because of my grandfather. They were all I'd watch growing up. I've started rooting for the Pirates the last 5 or 6 years just because I love an underdog.
  24. oh lovely...
  25. meh. I've had some nice experiences with some good natured people lately as well, so his story added to my experiences of late
