  1. a point and a click away, so not too far.
  2. I believe I said this at the beginning of last year too when someone said the defense wasn't going to be the same. I would not mind acquiring any of the above names. Honestly, I like the Ryan hire. Didn't at first, but the more I thought about it, the more I like it. He's a players coach, and this team is far better than some of those Jets teams he had. All he needs are a couple offensive upgrades and we're in business.
  3. And yet, I still loved it. To each their own.
  4. it's either a light flu or a bad cold...haven't decided. I heavily medicated myself and against better judgement still came into work. I have been washing/purell'ing my hands constantly to try to mitigate issues for my coworkers, and I have lysol wiped my desk and lab space now.
  5. sick as a dog the past 2 days. overloading on everything I can to make myself better! This is a critical month at work and I can't afford to miss more than yesterday!
  6. Denzel and the girl from Kick-ass
  7. I understand that, maybe I didn't make my point clear enough: as a difference maker or a solid 1 - 3 -man, how much more time than the average dman is he missing? is it only 2 - 4 games more per season than the average d-man misses, or is it on par with an average d-man, and maybe that's all he'll become or should be expected at this point then? Then if that's the case maybe he should be traded?
  8. The movie The Equalizer. Pretty awesome.
  9. It's not that I'm trying to avoid reality, it's just that I have so much going on professionally and personally I just haven't been as immersed as I used to be, and I have no recollection for what ailments have caused him missed time or if they were on par for an NHL player...
  10. I'd be happy with Schwartz. Not too interested in Shanny, and definitely not interested in Rex.
  11. Give me the time missed for an average NHL d-man and average forward, and if it falls way above that, then I would agree with you guys that he is injury prone. There's no reference point!
  12. I can see what you're saying.
  13. this is where I'm at. I actually think, based on what all the players said in their end of year interviews, the players respect Marrone, and they definitely respect Schwartz. I think it would be a terrible thing for the players, their morale, and their will to play their ###### off (i.e. Freddy, K Williams, etc.) if Marrone quits.
  14. If Hackett sticks, there will be mutiny...
  15. I know. I just get real enjoyment watching Jones fight. I can't explain it. There's a few others too, but Jones is by far my favorite.
  16. Anyone paying attention to this opt-out stuff? Anyone think Marrone will leave (I don't).
  17. this. Jones is by far my favorite fighter!
  18. This is exactly the way I was viewing it.
  19. Twitter was ablaze over that response too...I don't see the issue...
  20. Not to mention team doctors are probably pumping them full of IVs
  21. I turned off the Islanders game only to have my sister call me to bitch at me for not watching the whole thing. I think I'll watch this whole game
  22. Tank: I agree on your take on Brett Hundley (crazy we agree on something, I know! Re: Orton retiring...gotta say didn't see that coming Re: Watkins vs Ebron + 19th pick, I'd take Watkins all day everyday. Once he gets someone even close to Eli caliber throwing him the ball, he's going to be even more amazing than he already is. Re: Draft needs: contrary to NFL.com, our biggest needs are OL and QB, plain and simple. I like our new TE (M. Gray), and our LB corps will be fine if we can re-sign Spikes to smallish contract. Regarding yesterday's win over the Patsies: 2nd string or not, we won at Gillette, we didn't allow their first team to score more than a FG, and we BEAT THE ###### PATRIOTS! I don't care how, or why, just that we beat them.
