10 Years Ago was One of The Darkest Days in Sabres History 7/01/07

Regier does deserve some blame as he did not like to discuss contracts during the season. But I agree the majority of the blame goes to Golisano. Regier deserves the blame on the Vanek fiasco, he should have taken the draft picks. Oh well, the past is in the past. I'm liking the direction of the team now and I'm glad to see the team focus their attention on getting good centers over the past couple of years. Hopefully adding to the defense and hiring a defensive minded coach [Housley] is all that's needed to get the team over the hump. -
Have you applied for Medicaid yet? If not, apply for the EDCD waiver. The EDCD waiver is geared towards elderly patients that need home care, but right now it's the main one that kids with Autism get approved for. I know in VA, we have "Moms in Motion" which is a group you can call and get help applying for the EDCD waiver. I'm not sure what's in NY, but I'm sure you can find some on the internet. If you're able to get Medicaid, it will open up a lot of doors for autism services as a lot of places only accept Medicaid. By any chance if you get denied for the EDCD waiver, you can apply for the DD waiver, but you can be on a waiting list for years. Hope this helps.

It seems Botterill is focusing on rebuilding the Amerks. Seems he's trying to do the "Pittsburgh" model of building up the farm team as well as the NHL team. Hope it works out.

Seems like McDermott has rubbed off on Uncle Terry quite a bit as we keep hearing the same "buzz words" thrown around. Hopefully, Botterill will be a great GM and get the Sabres to the promised land.

Maybe a song or two, but not a fan otherwise. I'm more into hard rock, grunge and thrash metal.

Good question

Not everyone likes them. Also, if this is going strictly off of popularity, then nobody mentioned in this thread is overrated.

Smells Like Teen Spirit launched the grunge/alternative movement into the mainstream. I prefer Metallica's stuff from the 1980's, but I have to admit the Black Album is a classic and put them on a whole new level. I'm looking forward to seeing them tomorrow in Philly. There's no denying Freddie Mercury was a phenomenal vocalist, but a lot of Queen's songs are corny. I'm so sick of hearing Bohemian Rhapsody! Another One Bites The Dust is my favorite from them. Otherwise, just like Zepp, they're overplayed and overrated.

Jimmy Page is a great guitarist, but Robert Plant's high, whiny voice just kills it for me.

Agree about Pink Floyd and Aerosmith. I also think Queen,Led Zeppelin, AC/DC and Guns-N-Roses are overrated as well. Nirvava launched the grunge/alternative movement in the mainstream so I don't think they're overrated. Metallica has reinvented themselves several times over the years and continues to thrive, so I don't think they are overrated either

From Tom Donahoe and Doug Whaley to Ted Black, Ken Sawyer, Dan Bylsma and now Jason Botterill  :wallbash: :censored:

Those two years were a fun time to be a Sabres fan! Too bad our whole defense was injured the year before against Carolina as we were 20 minutes from the Stanley Cup.
-
Hard to believe it's been ten years since a Buffalo sports team was any good.
-
Horrorscope is a great album! it's been ten years since I've seen Overkill in concert.

Trade Sam or the 1st pick for Elusive Stud Defenceman?
Jerry Jabber replied to Sabre fan's topic in The Aud Club
Good question? Defenceman = Hockey Defenseman = Football -
It was my fourth time seeing them (three with the Cavalera brothers). The new line up is very good as well.

I saw Testament, Sepultura and Prong in Richmond last week (awesome show!) Up next is Metallica in Philly next month, then Slayer in Baltimore in July.

I brought this up over a year ago and with today's events that transpired, it's a good time to look at this again. Did GMTM give up too much between draft picks and prospects when he made trades? If you believe so, do you think it's a reason why the Sabres aren't further along than they should be?

I liked Murray, but considering the Leafs, Rangers and Oilers leaped frogged the Sabres with their “tank jobs,” it’s not surprising to see him go. Bylsma needed to go as he lost the team and did not tailor his “system” to the strength of his players. "Pierre LeBrunVerified account @Real_ESPNLeBrun · 2m2 minutes ago Constant turmoil with the Bills and Sabres. The passionate fans of Western New York deserve so much better." Have to agree. While I like the Pegula’s, they need to get their act together and stop meddling so much with both teams -
