Matt Ellis leaves the bench and this team gets worse. Coincidence? Maybe Appert should have spent as much time fixing the PP as he did making sure every hair on his head was perfectly in place.

Just for your own personal enjoyment, the goal the Avs scored to make it 2-1 was called off for being offside. We actually were leading 3-0 at one point...then 4-2....then 5-3, before blowing that lead with roughly 4 minutes left in the game.

The difference in urgency is so obvious. Avs were pushing hard because they needed to. We sat back and tried to keep our heads above water.
