IMO, it stems from Eichel being a man among boys up to and including college. Easy to take shifts or parts of shifts off when you're really good compared to everyone else. Work ethic needs to change and Housley should skate his a** off until he gets the message.

I might concede that the Leafs have had a "losing culture" since expansion, but they have something we don't. A winning tradition.
-
I don't want any more 6'1" QBs thanks

The 2005-06 team just had better players ... period ... a bunch of 20+ goal scorers, defensemen that could score, 2 better than average goalies, and a captain that had previously won the Cup. I agree with your 4 points as management has not fielded the best team they could, coaching has not done the correct prep, this team doesn't seem to depend on each other, and luck sometimes comes to better teams. There is a simply not enough talent on this roster which in turn produces losses and fosters a "losing culture".

Then at point do you identify a team as having a "losing culture" ? When was the last time the Canadiens won anything ? Bout 25 years ago ... would you classify them as a "losing culture" ? IMO, it's the totality of the franchise. Did the Red Sox have a "losing culture" prior to 2004 ? How about the Astros prior to this year ?
-
Maybe cuz there's a few banners hanging around the ACC ... same with Edmonton. We haven't won anything ... ever. Eichel is not McDavid, nor is he Crosby. But in fairness to Jack, he has no Malkin, Letang, Draisaitl, etc. Put Jack on the Lightning right now and watch him light it up.

There's no guarantee that any college QB that goes high in the draft will be good at the pro level. However, there's a reason these guys are slated to go high. Most Super Bowl champs have won with franchise QBs (Brady excepted). If you see the Bills using top picks on other positions than QB, who plays QB next year ? I suppose they could go after Keenum or Garoppolo and use Peterman as backup.
-
All 3 could be gone by the time the Bills pick. I wouldn't be upset if we took a flyer on Allen with his arm and size. With the current state of the D, Bills have no shot at a playoff spot. Probable losses to the Chiefs/Pats twice and possible wins against the Colts/Fins twice puts them at 8-8 and probably out. TT is gone next year so why not give Peterman some more snaps and see if he should be around at training camp ?
-
The good news is that Columbus is last in PP % - so if we stay in the box all night, we might have a chance.
-
Bills have plenty of picks and ought to be able to move up and draft either Rosen, Darnold, or Allen.
-
Would love to know what Beane's plan is for next year now that any confidence Peterman might have had is destroyed.
-
If we don't come out for the 2nd half, what happens ?
-
Any more and we'll see TT.

Cancel it - you can watch the games on MSGGO.

Jack Eichel has no shots and is minus-1 with 16:10 of ice time. Sam Reinhart has no shots and is minus-1 with 10:56 of ice time.
-
IMO, Jack thinks he can take shifts or parts of shifts off as he probably did in college as one of the best players. No sense of urgency to his game.
-
Maybe Dennison should go to the wishbone to better utilize TT

Might catch a break this weekend in the Anthony Lynn reunion game - Rivers in concussion protocol.

Lack of talent combined with lack of effort. It's all about being a professional and showing up every day for practice and games. Housley has very little to do with it as these guys wouldn't win with any system or any coach. -
Ah I dunno about that ... I'll give you a case of Blue for your Brador.
-
No end in sight ... we may hit 20 on this list before a turnaround. Best case scenario, we draft a franchise QB next year and wait 2-3 years for him to develop barring a Prescott-like miracle. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_NFL_franchise_post-season_droughts#Post-season_droughts

Agreed - prayers for the Berman family, but at what age do we start retesting drivers ?

It be Botterill - Nashville series over - Fenton would've been announced by now.
