    Some say Mayfield's arm strength is average at best, so maybe I look harder at Allen/Rosen/Darnold/Jackson. Mayfield also played on a lot better team than Allen. And you are right, some smaller guys can succeed if the offense is built to their strong points a la Wilson.

    With the notable exception of Brees, all of the top 15 in career passing yards are 6'2" and taller. Brady has won 5, mostly passing from the pocket and with limited mobility. Draft a taller guy with a great arm, build an offensive line to protect him, and get him some weapons.

    There was a reason I used those guys and not the ones you mentioned with the exception of Flacco. I actually think he can play a bit. All other things being equal, I'll take someone 6'2" and above.

    There is a reason that scouts tag some draftable QBs with size warnings even though there are anomalies like Wilson and Brees. And I do agree that tall QBs also move around at times to see the field better but the extra few inches does matter - would Brady be as good at 6'0" ? Would you rather have a John Elway/Brett Favre/Peyton Manning/Jim Kelly type as your franchise QB or someone 6'1" on paper and most likely shorter ?

    Sure he is, as the linemen are not standing up to their full height while blocking. A better question might be how many times we've seen TT roll out of the pocket when he might not have needed to.

    What would happen if Moulson went over to Europe or the KHL and played ? I assume we would be off the hook at that point ?

    That's what you get with a QB that's probably not even 6'1" and can't see over the linemen. Drew Brees is a rare breed.

    Even if TT is not hurt, they may as well play Peterman the rest of the year. Ravens have the tiebreaker and have 3 winnable games putting them @ 10-6. No way the Bills catch the Jags.

    Hard to hold guys accountable when most likely you are not doing your own job. Time for Housley to healthy scratch a few of them and skate their arses off to see if that works. Although it probably won't as the main problem is the lack of motivated talent on this team with the exception of Kane. Combine mediocre goaltending with a below average defense and there you have it. And a college kid soon to be making $10mil who seems to think he's above playing hard every shift. At least Nolan has work ethic.

    One of many things I miss about WNY is the fairly short driving distance to other big cities with professional sports teams.

    Fact ... but does it matter if the D sucks ? They're not beating the Chiefs or the Pats. I'd go with the probability of 8-8 not making the playoffs and tank with Peterman. A few spots up in the '18 draft might make a difference in getting the right QB.

    That be true, but Dareus was gone and the defense left the building. TT sucked against the Saints.

    They ditched Tyrod after an abysmal loss to the the Jets and a slaughter @ home by the Saints.

    So be it - do you think it's fair that they ditch Peterman after one half of play ? What would be rationale for playing TT if the defense continues to suck ? So they lose by less ?

    Not me ... this team has zero chance of beating the Chiefs or the Pats with the defense currently in shambles. They might not beat the Colts or Fins either. Taylor is 100% gone after this season. I say play Peterman and get a bigger sample size.
