  1. I think Desnoyers applies his physicality more steadily. He's consistent and detailed. Here's my big concern with Martone, pace. He has that Vanek habit of waiting for plays to come to him and waiting for moments. He doesn't always demand moments. Good strategists seize opportunities, great strategists make their own. I worry that he's more of a complimentary top 6 winger at the next level. Especially when his physical advantages no longer apply. I'm not saying I wouldn't draft him, just that I'd think long and hard.
  2. Hagens has had issues getting inside at the ncaa level which is causing alarm in the scouting community.
  3. So you have no idea if all these ppl are as claimed, terrorists/criminals. And you're against any type of hearing to verify it? That's at odds with what you said above. Deflect, deflect, deflect
  4. How would one of provide proof of innocence without due process? How would one provide proof of guilt?
  5. Here is a good story about this happening: She was a Canadian Citizen, here legally with no criminal record. She was held for 2 weeks in appalling conditions. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/19/canadian-detained-us-immigration-jasmine-mooney "The reality became clear: Ice detention isn’t just a bureaucratic nightmare. It’s a business. These facilities are privately owned and run for profit. Companies like CoreCivic and GEO Group receive government funding based on the number of people they detain, which is why they lobby for stricter immigration policies. It’s a lucrative business: CoreCivic made over $560m from Ice contracts in a single year. In 2024, GEO Group made more than $763m from Ice contracts. The more detainees, the more money they make. It stands to reason that these companies have no incentive to release people quickly. What I had experienced was finally starting to make sense."
  6. What happens when Trump declares Democrats terrorists? Or anyone who supports a permanent ceasefire in Gaza? What about when he sells Ukraine to Russia and ppl get upset and protest, are they now terrorists? Can he deport them by force?
  7. What if 1 of those ppl deported wasn't a terrorist? Also because there was no court hearing, Trump offered no proof they were terrorists that I am currently aware of. Just his word. That's why there is a deportation hearing. Again, those ppl would have been remanded in ICE Custody until the court process played out. They would not have just come back and gone back into the world. That's not what this was. It was return until the court process plays out.
  8. Trump has appealed and the judges order did not order the release of the gang members according to what I am reading. They were to be remanded in custody until a briefing was filed about this. It was a temporary restraining order for 14 days to allow the court process to play out. The District Court who oversees the lower court, had asked for motions to be filed by Tuesday at 5pm. I don't see a judge that loves terrorists, just that using the AEA in this case is questionable considering what it was written for and how it is being deployed. We can still apprehend terrorists and hold them for deportation. There is no reason to even have this debate, you just appeal the TRO, file your brief, let the District Court rule and probably it ends there. Maybe someone fights it to the Supreme Court since the AEA is a very old law not used since WWII. https://abcnews.go.com/US/trump-admin-ignores-judges-order-bring-deportation-planes/story?id=119857181
  9. Why should the judge be impeached? Why is impeachment the correct route here instead of appeal? Trump is free to appeal the ruling to a higher court, but he isn't calling for that. He wants this judge removed and worked up his base, see yourself, for this. Once Trump can remove 1 judge for disagreeing with him, he can remove any judge. You're essentially arguing that if you think a judge makes a poor judgement they can be removed. Okay, I think Citizens United was an awful judgement, all the judges who ruled in favor must be impeached and removed. I think Aileen Cannon is one of the worst judges in the history of the country, she makes lots of poor decisions and was routinely slapped down by the District Court, removed. Poor judgement right? Again, you want to open pandora's box and Trump has convinced beyond a doubt the only way to be safe is his way with his judgement. That's how Fascism works. Hitler was about how he was the only one who could save Germany or get anything, you had to believe in him. Churchill was about how only the people could save themselves if they banded together, they had to believe in themselves. Subtle difference.
  10. Right but how do you know everyone who is being rounded up belongs to that group? You just assume that Trump Corp never that up? Because there's a mountain of evidence they are incompetent at best. That is why we have a hearing with a judge and then ppl get deported. We have laws and due process and that is either the bedrock of this Democracy or it doesn't apply at all. That is the issue. Once there is no due process, Trump can round up and remove whoever he wants, including me and you.
  11. I have repeatedly explained to you what I am saying. You are either A. deliberately ignoring it to have a completely different conversation or B. lack a fundamental understanding of why a US President calling for a Judge to be impeached over a disagreement is unconstitutional. The judge did not rule that they liked Terrorists or that Terrorists cannot be expelled from the US. You sound beyond ignorant when you repeatedly come back to your fox news/brietbart talking point. Read up on the ruling and what it did and why they did it. These terrorists being rounded up and expelled from the US is not the issue.
  12. Yikes BTW, the bill this dude proposed is another step towards trying to make criticism of the Trump State illegal or punishable. That's anti-american.
  13. I hope Benson goes on a pts streak so I don't have to hear anymore nonsense that he's somehow not ready or good enough or whatever else. Give me 15pts to close the season Benny boy.
  14. You read that correctly. If putin doesn't get everything he wants, he'll go after more. I'd encourage everyone to study Hitler from 1936-1939.
  15. The US Constitution was written for a reason. Discarding it because you dislike something is folly.
  16. I'd get him and Quinn together. Benson learns shooting, Quinn learns... well just about all the rest of it.
  17. Does this tactic typically work for you? You have deliberately ignored why this thread exists. Trump saying a judge should be impeached, and then getting a lackey in congress to attempt that process because the judge ruled against him is a Constitutional crisis. The remedy for this ruling is appeal. You want to turn this into something else. A battle over something that's not even part of the ruling. In fact your argument is strawman nonsense. Do you feel it is acceptable to have a judge impeached simply because they ruled against you? Yes, or no? Sidenote: you attempt to put words in my mouth like above again and my tone will rapidly change. Don't ever ***** accuse me of supporting terrorists again.
  18. Haha I love getting Xd over this. Sending Zach Benson of all players, to the AHL after he's played 2 full NHL seasons, is a truly laughable idea. Thankfully, I don't have to worry about even a team as inept as Buffalo doing it. Oddly enough, I was just reading something my buddy texted me:
  19. Not relevant. If trump thinks the judge ruled incorrectly you appeal. Impeachment of federal judges for disagreeing with trump breaks checks and balances. It effectively ends the judiciary.
  20. It's irrelevant. Trump has no authority under the constitution to impeach a judge for ruling against him. That's entire crux of the issue, you're arguing something that's beyond irrelevant to that. You don't have to like a judges ruling, but the Constitutional remedy is appeal, not impeachment. Also the ruling is about having a hearing before deportation from my understanding. Surely that low bar shouldn't worry you.
  21. But you said we're bad at development, so this won't have any effect. It's also a truly terrible idea.
  22. Not sure why this won't embed
  23. That's equivalent to Pegs losing roughly 30 million every year for a decade. Considering Buffalo didn't have issues selling out especially in 2015-2018, seems questionable with revenue sharing, ticket sales, and TV deals. Considering the guy built and maintains a 100 million dollar yacht... idk seems flimsy.
  24. Seriously, I'd love to read up on him saying it. Even if it was just something reported and not a public comment.
  25. Really, Got a link to that? Also he'd still be up about 500 million+ on the Sabres then.
