I wish the people who say things like this would learn that games played is the important factor more than age. 24/25 is the usual age because most people hit the NHL at 22 so they enter that 3rd year and there you go. Cozens is in year 5 and has 288 games to his name. McLeod for example has only 227 games. Typically most players hit who they will be around that 250 game mark. So with Cozens, we are getting to a point of him settling into what he is.

Who would you rather have? ROR and a Cup or Tage Thompson?

What veteran wingers would you give him and how do they help him? There is almost no point at all in using the Krueger years for anything. They are complete outlier sack of trash because Barg Krueger was a sack of trash at coaching.

I personally don't think the Cozens line is the 2nd line anymore but I know having that convo here is a losing battle.

There's always a long term fit (5ish years) for a player that can slide around your bottom 9 at wing or center.

I am not worried about Dahlin tbh. I think he will still end up in the 60+ point range.

If Krebs plays better all year, my opinion will change.

I personally do not believe this will ever occur. He might lean on guys a bit more as he ages but a physical game seems uncharacteristic for him.

Cozens isn't a good shooter, that's the simple answer. Until that improves, I don't think his linemates matter much and I think it is a scapegoat to blame them for all his shooting woes.

Not really. JJ was put on the Tage/Tuch line for most of the end of last year leaving Benson-Cozens-Quinn as the 2nd line.

I think Benson is fine, in terms of play, they just want him healthy. Basically they are trying to get him healed up while they can.

Amazing how after years of us trying to put lines together that we nailed this basically from the start. Almost like the Sabres built and actual forward group. Still worried about the depth but at least McLeod is rolling. Savoie btw has 1g, 2a in 3AHL games. Just in case anyone was curious.

I don't agree with this. The Sabres held formation very well except the 2nd pulled goalie goal. They looked very composed. That pp was not ugly. They actually looked dangerous. Quinn needs to find his game. He was meh.
