  1. This draft is good at the top. I'm unclear what you're hinting at here.
  2. NHL is truly the dumbest sports league. Let's put a Sabres game on during the Bills game, brilliant!
  3. Part of me is laughing because I was ridiculed and shouted down for saying power wasn't the best player in his class, the other part is really sad because the Sabres suck and Power isn't good enough.
  4. The simple answer is moving Cozens to wing. Buffalo needs a different center.
  5. Better Owen, not great but better
  6. I'd bag skate this team until they puke.
  7. 5'10" but also yup. I'd start double shifting him.
  8. I think Ruff reached his breaking point. Won't save this season but maybe there's now a 0.000001% chance for change.
  9. Zach Benson, ***** stirrer. Also only player on this team I currently like.
  10. This is one of those comments that's just bizarre at best and dumb at worst. "Cutting Quinn" when he's easily tradeable is just bizarre.
  11. "The first period, we were awful." - Lindy Ruff
  12. Ryabkin will 100% make it to us. I'm not that interested in him in the top 10. His pace and defensive game are weak and his motor is average. He's not what I'd look for to try to turn this around in 3 years. Now if he did slide to round 2, I'd be more tempted as there's decent skills there.
  13. December rankings are not as interesting as January rankings. January rankings occur post WJC and are also considered the midterm rankings. That is where some of this stuff really starts to solidify. That said, I find EP rinkside to have some of the best rankings even if we don't always agree. https://eprinkside.com/2024/12/11/the-elite-prospects-december-top-50-ranking-for-the-2025-nhl-draft I will note that Hagens, Schaefer, Misa, and Martone are in a tier unto themselves at the moment. Hagens is perhaps a qrtr tier ahead but personally, I was less impressed with his college start than I thought I would be. Still, he's young and college is a different game than Jr. Schaefer is a 6'2" LHD with a exceedingly late bday so he's got lots of room to get better. Martone and Misa are what the Sabres need (of course I mean the 22-24yr old versions of these players).
  14. Hagens is still #1 but 2-4 have closed the gap significantly. WJC20 will be interesting because our next real ranking will be the January lists.
  15. Matthew Schaefer, 6'2" lhd has 22pts in 17 ohl games and is garnering lots of top 3 draft pick love.
  16. Peyton Krebs had almost 200 games played and even though he wasn't that good, he was vigorously defended by many. Jack Quinn has 128 games and until the last 24 looked good. He lost confidence in himself and needs to reset. Jack Quinn will be fine.
  17. I think waiving jack quinn would be a massive mistake.
  18. Neither Quinn nor Cozens are waiver exempt. Neither can be sent to Rochester unless on conditioning assignments or by passing through waivers. Cozens should be Demoted off the 2nd line. He's a Pegula favorite so doubt it happens.
  19. Nah, they're thinking "okay, it will suck but in 5 years all be traded and win a cup"
  20. Misa and Martone still looking good.
