UPL and Levi have delivered some good games for us. Levi was great tonight. Sabres don't look great right now. The PP is beyond useless, it's truly the dumbest part of their game. Krebs is tough to watch. Savoie was a non factor. Big Johnson isn't holding up and I would give him a game off. Tage and Skinner are looking good. Peterka was a good compliment to them. Cozens... I mean woof. Dude is in his head and needs to simplify his game. Mittelstadt is an important part to this team. I'd extend him now. Ryan Johnson should stay and start. We won and honestly I think overall we played them even. I know the shots are in their favor but they didn't feel very threatening. Our pk looked like poo at times. Winning is winning but this team still isn't firing on all cylinders.

Vo sucks. The problem with the pp is it is run from the point and has no movement by players at all.

They are much better defensively this year. Currently 15th in goals against. Last year they finished 26th in goals against.

Find a way.

I think the Sabres don't need any fighters, grit comes from determination not breaking your hand. Stick up for each other and if you have to drop em, you will. Also, Mitts and Cozens should both stay on the team. I think both contribute a lot and we'll be able to run 3 offensive lines with a 4th line for checking out shutdown duties. It's such a good way to build a team.

There's a lot of things in here I could unpack but I will only touch the bolded. Erik Johnson won a Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche. Second sentence is the same trash PA and others have thrown out repeatedly. Granato has won at every level he ever coached at. The list of coaches who win cups on 2 different teams is exceedingly small so if that is your criteria for a coach, you are going to be SOL.
