  1. I'll worry about the salary structure later. Let's get Pesce in first and then go from there.
  2. That 2nd become 64th overall too. Greenway is def worth more.
  3. Except for Leinonen... that's a giant red flag
  4. VO, 39 overall, a prospect is probably the price. They can't re- sign pesce so it makes some sense to trade him this summer when he read value. The Vegas and Eichel stuff was leaked and then denied for months. It kept coming up.
  5. Yup, it's like a millionaire selling his yacht. Sure the yacht is a tangible object and you know what it is, but that money 💰 you just got can be turned into any number tangible objects your heart desires. In the cap world of the NHL, having liquid draft picks helps a lot.
  6. I wonder if this is more a product of Pronman ranking But high and the Sabres being known to take Russians, so it just keeps fitting his list.
  7. You're trading away 25g. 10 more for jjp and Quinn, 5 more for Mitts. And convered. Even with 25 less goals that puts you 14th in the league last year, just ahead of Vegas.
  8. I wouldn't put him top 10 with his skating and skill combo.
  9. Like I said, Granato matters
  10. It's like drafting the Russian version of baby Tage
  11. Blue cheese
  12. Ooo yea, forgot about this thread. Brett Pesce, what we thinking?
  13. "Describe Sabrespace to a friend" ^
  14. Dump truck. I don't worry about his offense. He did 6pts in 10 playoff games.
  15. Not saying they are connected but idk where to put stuff.
  16. They'll essentially be the equivalent of Matthews and a 4th line player in another year.
  17. I don't understand the bold and others have said similar. At 13oa, almost every player we could draft is 2 years away. Savoie, Kulich, and Östlund will all play 2 years outside of Buffalo. It's pretty standard and the only concern for me is that the khl isn't a development league so that may or may not be bad.
  18. I wouldn't expect anything to happen until closer to the draft but you never know.
  19. You know, the more times that passes where Cozens and Thompson are locked up for only 7-7.1mil the more that contract looks good. Jesper Bratt: 32g, 41a, 73pts, pays him until he is 32, 7.875mil with half of that coming as bonuses Dylan Cozens: 31g, 37a, 69pts, pays him until he is 29, 7mil with only 1 signing bonus this year at 2mil Tage Thompson: 47g, 47a, 94pts, pays him until he is 32, 7.143mil with 1 signing bonus this year at 2mil
  20. Okay, so I used the actual top 32 players drafted... except Maverick Lamoureux because I refuse. I then used the consolidated rankings found on EliteProspects. I tried not to move guys around too much, meaning if I had a way different grade, I tried not to move them up or down a ton. The exception being Jiri Kulich, I ranked him 19th and yea... I feel good on that. I did flip some guys that I think were under over drafted but again, tried not to move ppl too much based on my feels but also being respectful of the talent. I will say that doing this... oh my lord was there way better defenders up in the 2022 draft. Anyways, feel free to debate this. It was just done as a fun quick exercise and isn't an exact thing. I also tried hard not to let what I know now influence things tooooo much... so David Jiricek didn't get ranked 5th overall... but I wanted too. Juraj Slafskovsky got ranked where I think he deserves and I did slide him a few spots, honestly Dvorsky has been a bit better IMPO. Short story is yes I have some bias and yes current event influenced stuff but I did my best. Connor Bedard 2023 Adam Fantilli 2023 Matvei Mitchkov 2023 Leo Carlsson 2023 Shane Wright Will Smith 2023 Simon Nemec David Jiricek Zach Benson 2023 Logan Cooley Ryan Leonard 2023 Cutter Guathier Dalibor Dvorsky 2023 Juraj Slafskovsky Pavel Mintyukov Oliver Moore 2023 Matthew Savoie Kevin Korchinski Colby Barlow 2023 Marco Kasper Eduard Sale 2023 Axel Sandin Pellikka 2023 David Reinbacher 2023 Brayden Yager 2023 Frank Nazar Rutger McGroarty Andrew Cristall 2023 Denton Mateychuk Nate Danielson 2023 Matthew Wood 2023 Calum Ritchie 2023 Connor Geekie Samuel Honzek 2023 Gabe Perreault 2023 Jiri Kulich Quentin Musty 2023 Jonathan Lekkerimaki Lian Bichsel Ivan Miroshnichenko Riley Heidt 2023 Liam Ohgren Daniil But 2023 Lucas Dragicevic 2023 Noah Östlund Joakim Kemell Tom Willander 2023 Otto Stenberg 2023 Owen Pickering Dmitri Simashev 2023 Nathan Gaucher Ethan Gauthier 2023 Filip Mesar Filip Bystedt Brad Lambert Isaac Howard Mihail Gulyayev 2023 Jimmy Snuggerud Danil Yurov Reid Schaefer Gavin Brindley 2023 Owen Beck Sam Rinzel Oliver Bonk 2023 Kasper Halttunen 2023
  21. I will try. I won't use my own rankings but use the consolidated rankings for 2023 and for 2022, I will slot guys in based on my feels. This will not be precise. Give me about 20 minutes.
  22. Buyer beware of a guy who only stays on a team for 3 years before demanding to be traded.
