Sabres president of hockey ops — I'm calling it (again)

Posting a lot doesn't give you credibility. The rest of what you add implies that we should be in awe of Warrow but honestly everyone here is equal except for mods and sds. Warrow probably has more insight but 80% of what goes on here is speculation anyways. I'm not personally in awe of reporters or doctors or lawyers or really anyone because they are just ppl. I think it would cool if he was an active member of the board, but I and every other poster still have the right to question him. Credibility is is a yes or no type of thing but a scale dependent on lots of factors. Just like as the poster with the most posts, anyone can question or disagree with me no matter how grouchy I get. What I'm saying is everyone here's voice is equal even if some of us are louder. -
What forwards? Outside of Quinn and JJ there's no one coming in the next year or probably 2 or 3.
-
Regress means return but we're splitting hairs. Asplund needs to get his sh% back to his mean or improve it.
-
Which part? Let's see... lhd and that was about Hague Sh% regresses... that's almost verbatim.
-
Then Adams is a moron if he thinks Hague is good. Regression to a mean can be positive or negative so yes I want Regression back to Asplunds mean sh%.
-
You don't trade down. Absolutely worst idea. #1, take Wright and send him back to the ohl #2, take Cooley and send him to college
-
Asplund is only 24.

Vegas pick...do the Sabres want them to win the lottery this year?

You'd have to win the lottery and one is a Russian signed until 2025 -

2023 has multiple players putting up numbers in junior levels that are setting records. -

By who? 2022 was noted for being a very average draft. -
Part of the issue is that the 2019 guys are already there or gone. The 2020 draft only has 2 guys currently as everyone else is either in college or overseas. The 2021 draft only has Power currently in that pro hockey ready area and he's going to be in Buffalo. Kozak is the only guy from the 2021 draft who can join the Amerks so it is a bit of a weird fluke for sure.

Isak Rosen is signed in Sweden through the 2022-2023 season. He will not be heading to Rochester this year. No team is assigning their recent NHL drafted 18yr olds to the AHL. Rochester will continue to look the way it does until the Sabres are fixed (which is closer) because the talent flows up in an org, not down. Sabres get a build up of talent it keeps guys in Rochester. It is indeed. Tyson Kozak, C Portland Winterhawks.

The top of the 2023 draft is exceptional. We're talking about at least 5 players that are great talents and 2 that get a lot of talk about generational. -

2022 is an average draft with just ok depth. 2023 is a special draft with just above average depth but an insane top 10. -

Average. 2023 has more depth. -
I thought the caps gt would regress but Holy crap
-
Why would we trade for a lhd? Asplund will continue to get hate until his sh% regresses.
-
Probably from the ppl in that 42-52 range who bitch about millennials even though we work with them in the same jobs. Millennials became short hand for younger ppl even though it's not 20yr old kids anymore. Just like boomer become shorthand for older ppl even though they aren't 45yr old middle career ppl anymore
-
Almost as bad as gen x and boomers who think everyone 25 and under is a millennial and also think they are lazy and worthless.
-
This is not correct. They have money now, they don't have it in 2024. We don't agree. I'm good with this, splitting the year with 2 deals
-
That's too much impo. If he's getting 2 more years, anything over 4m is too much and 3.5 is my preferred number. And again, in 2 more years from right now they have a ton of raises to give out.
