  1. For me, 0%. The last 28 games are why I have optimism. It was an extended period of play where besides 3 games, the Sabres either won or were in every game they played. It wasn't a mirage either, they actually looked the part of a real NHL team again. They had 4 big emotional games in there, the outdoor game, the Eichel's revenge game, RJ Night, RJ's last call. The team understood what it meant emotionally to the fans for those games and they elevated and delivered, which I do not believe would have happened in any of the previous 10 years of losing. I said it earlier, but ever since Lucic ran Miller, the common refrain is "oh this team needs to get bigger and tougher" and the truth has been this team has needed to get mentally tougher because that is what translates to grit on the ice. That overwhelming desire to dig deep and the mindset that adversity can be overcome. That's what we have needed from the lineup, not Steve Ott to hit people or to bring back Kassian to hit people, or to let Risto suck at hockey while he hits people. You need Tuch exploding through Eichel to go down the ice and seal that win. You need the absolute belief that you are better than Toronto so you just go beat them. The understanding that yea Nashville may be good but this is RJ night, you empty the tank. That's what this team needs, that gritty refusal to accept the how it is and the desire to force the issue into how you want it to be. I'm not optimistic because of some BS from Adams or some magically move that gives me hope. I am optimistic because the mindset of the players on this team isn't the same as it was for a decade. They give off a resiliency and an aura of comradery that hasn't existed since Stafford fought Chris Neal. Idk if they will achieve the playoffs this year, I really don't know. I do know that they care about each other and the crest on the front of their jerseys again. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded, this fanbase certainly does.
  2. For a team trying to be cheap, they sure have spent a lot of money on analytics and international scouting. If Kevyn thought spending money would make this team better long term, I have no reason to believe he doesn't have the go ahead to try and make that move. They are running cheap right now because of how they view their young talent and the cap projections they are making for 2023 and 2024.
  3. Nah next year he is going to be 35g and 45a. This year he is going 30 and 30. He will start slow and then after Christmas it will be a revelation.
  4. Didn't say I wouldn't do it just that it's not as exciting as it sounds at first.
  5. Krebs said he liked it here over Vegas because there's trees. Buffalo is poor but it's not as bad as some make it out.
  6. Sounds like a whiny child but it's an adult man who should have known better.
  7. I'd take the under on the Islanders. New coach. No New talent infusion. A year older for an older forward group.
  8. Maybe but a first in 2025, isn't that exciting to me. That player probably won't play until 2027.
  9. I think there would have to be significant injuries for him to get called up for anything other than 1 game "this is level you're trying to get to" game.
  10. So no? @PerreaultForever There must be some c, d, g that got a contract you like and you want in Buffalo. Okay. Let's assume they would have signed the exact same contract and played in Buffalo, who would you want (ufas only)?
  11. Okposo isn't above olofsson this season because of a 1 minute toi difference from last season. @sabresparaavida already did the work to show why the difference exists.
  12. Monahan is being traded to Montreal.
  13. That deal will be bad in about 3 years or so.
  14. If I'm being honest, I don't even care enough to debate this. You do you.
  15. Using toi as a "pecking order" is strange to me.
