  1. I feel like Komarov might need to stick to Slafskovsky because he might be the only one strong enough to deal with him. Remember when Power played in the summer prospects camp and was just far stronger than everyone and could go anywhere he wanted, that is was Juraj could do.
  2. in transition yes. i dont know about puck retrieval and cycles though
  3. My gripe about the article isn't Dahlin but the fact they don't adequate explain what their spreadsheet headings mean. Sure I get TOI/G/A but what do you mean Offense? or Defense? What is that measuring? GSVA they say what it is but give me almost nothing on how it gets calculated. The f is USG? Usage I assume but what does the number mean? Really frustrating to read something like this an engage with it. "The other stats are projected stats for the 2022-23 season — goals, assists, points, individual expected goals, penalty differential and five-on-five (offensive and defensive) impact, plus an adjustment for the difficulty of each player’s minutes." Which one is penalty differential? What does offensive impact mean? Dahlin's is -6.1 for ducks sake.
  4. Technically it is a game. All games are streamed live at Sabres.com and will also be broadcast by WGR550. Montreal's roster and streaming info: https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/livestream-information-for-canadiens-games-during-the-prospects-challenge/c-335544020 Buffalo's roster: https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-prospects-challenge-roster-2022/c-335522266 Buffalo streaming info: https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-announce-2022-prospects-challenge-lecom-harborcenter-september-15-19/c-335120078 We know that Savoie is centering Kisakov and Weissbach but other lines I don't currently have info on.
  5. If you don't take into account the shots and you view all shots as equal, this would be correct. It is the big flaw with save%
  6. 100 bucks the Sabres do not finish in the bottom 5. So 28-32
  7. Komarov isn't small is he. I'll take a 6'3" rhd for sure.
  8. I think we are all aware of that.
  9. Good point, I might be overly generous to that 3rd line of Detroit.
  10. Do you have any idea how much drugs and alcohol (not talking a beer or two at dinner) Kelly did in college and into the NFL? College in particular he was into a lot of stuff. These guys today, they take insane care of their bodies. The recovery, nutrition, exercise, and the like. There are some guys that have custom built beds and sleep at certain temperatures. It is truly crazy the level of care that goes into being a top athlete.
  11. There is a 0% chance Kulich plays 10 games in Buffalo due to ELC slide rules. That said I also think this management group will do what they did with JJP and keep Kulich in Rochester for all but maybe 1 or 2 games. One thing about the smaller ice is that really the issue is time and space. You have less of one because of the other and with Kulich is skating and off puck play is better than what JJP had when he started in Rochester. JJP needed coaching on using his teammates better because that can open time and space which he greatly improved on. I fully agree that the board play of Kulich leads me to think he is a bit more savvy than JJP was but we shall see soon enough. Excited Buffalo has him in Rochester this year as I think he will be a favorite quickly. He is what would happen if you took JJP's pace and physicality and combined it with Quinn's IQ and shot skills. (this comparison relates to Quinn and JJP at 18 specifically)
