So we gave up the 50th-ish pick in this draft and a 5th next year. Decent trade, seems fair to both sides. We will see how he fits in but has the profile of a 3rd line winger with some jam and decent defensive metrics.

Adams hasn't even used his capspace to get an extra pick and the only logic I have heard on that is they don't want to help a team they might see in the playoffs which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. The team is going to make that move anyways.

This schtick is growing old if I am being honest. The idea you can't improve now because of some magical future when you have the Sabres list of assets is just narrow minded and actually shortsighted. We have 3 2nd round picks, we aren't hurting oursleves by trading one of them now.
