  1. Quinn sitting so Mitts can play is just straight up stupidity.
  2. ... We are a bubble playoff team so it's basically the same feeling I had last month. We aren't finishing bottom 4 and also I say 8-20 because the 8th player could slide to 16 in this draft. You took that range to be the exact range I expect us to finish now which is incorrect.
  3. Didnt say look at guys in the top 4 did I? We won't finish in the bottom 4 this year. This team will get better as the year progresses and the rookies round into form.
  4. No desire to move back. I enjoyed Athens and like visiting but no desire to raise my family there if I am being honest. How bout them dawgs though?
  5. I'd learn about the 8-20 guys. Probably where we pick
  6. We're gonna be inconsistent. This is what learning to win looks like.
  7. Team needs their old lines from a few games ago back.
  8. I pulled EP's top 32 consolidated now that there are about 4 rankings to use. As always, will plug EP subscription cuz I love their extras and hockey coverage. We will call this November Consolidated Rankings for the 2023 NHL Draft
  9. I think it is sometimes a mistake for teams to look at physically developed as equaling developed. Dvosrky and Carlsson I would guess are the two others you are somewhat hinting at and I would tend to want both to stay overseas another year. Dvorsky I would hope gets promoted to the SHL next year. Sale I might try and get to NA and into Rochester if Buffalo managed to get him (another Czech forward like Kulich). Calum Ritchie is probably the last physically mature guy we could name.
  10. That said... D+1 guys should almost always go back. It is a little different for OHL, WHL, QMJHL guys because I think those leagues can be outgrown by 18 for sure but even still most players are fine getting 1 more year in a developmental league before trying the NHL. Physically few are ready (Byfield) or if they are, the game hasn't slowed down yet for them (Jiricek). Now Bedard and Fantilli probably wouldn't need that in 2023 but everyone else does. Bedard because holy lord, just wow. Fantilli because also wow and physically he will be closer to ready. That said... Bedard won't be 18 until mid July so you could send him back to work on bulking up but that wont happen. Bedard on pace for: 55g, 77a, 132 points in 68 games... I mean... that's just not normal for a guy basically playing his 17yr old WHL season.
  11. Thinking about the Bills brought me back here. When Kirby Smart took over in Athens one of the first things he started doing was recruiting linemen. Offensive and Defensive linemen. Sure Mark Richt did as well but Georgia was always just a bit smaller and less physical than Alabama, or Florida, or maybe even South Carolina in a particular year. Now the o-line and d-line isn't sexy and it doesn't win you Heismans or get the media talking much, but it does something else. It allows you to physically impose your will on other teams. For years Alabama was king of the trenches and yes they have talent elsewhere (everywhere) but they won up front and that helped them win consistently. Lets look at Saturday, Tennessee had all the momentum going into that game but you know what they didn't have? A better offensive or defensive line than UGA. Kirby has recruited some of the best linemen in the country and it shows. Idk if Georgia has the horses to win it all this year (you still need high end talent other places) but idk what team in this country has a better line. It reminds me of the Michigan game last year when all the talk was about how Hutchinson was going to be a major problem for Georgia... he wasn't. They either doubled him and let everyone else win their 1v1 reps or just made plays away from him because they had talent all across the front. Think about this. Georgia's front 7 lost starters at DE, 2 DT, and a LB in the first round alone last year. They lost 2 more LB during the draft as well. 6 players gone up front and the UGA defense barely registered it (they also saw a CB and S drafted). That's all on the recruiting trail as well as having some great coaching to make those recruits good football players.
  12. We have two star players but yes, with Dahlin out it would be dicey on the backend. Dahlin really has been a catalyst this season for the team being good. We need to win this game though and get 2 points against an inferior team. Time for someone not named Dahlin to step up.
  13. If I were going to buy one (I might but they would have to make the playoffs), I would buy a Biron 00. I watched Marty play and he is still around the team so I feel fine with doing something like that.
  14. Again, stop wasting time trying to find a magic RB when the entire issue is that the offensive line isn't very good. Nick Chubb wouldn't look good behind that line and on Sunday it may have cost us our QB1 for a few weeks or the entire season. Cook, Hines, Moss are all RB that are not going to be good behind the line and all 3 of them are assets that could have been used to make the line better. Just short sighted on Beane and McDermott's part and honestly the continued insistence that they need to waste valuable assets on RB has started to make me question McDermott and Beane. Leslie Frazier is the least adaptable coordinator I may have ever seen. From 13 seconds to now, he has no answers when a team can beat his nickel defense, none. He just keeps sending them out again and again and they keep getting beat the same ways over and over. We should have blitzed the crap out of the Jets but nope gotta stick with that 4 man rush no matter what. The Bills on Sunday looked like a team, from the coaches on down to the players and the waterboy, that bought into their own hype.
  15. Like Owen Power, he should have been sent back.
