  1. My point is you dismissed Bedard as a small puck mover. It's a very narrow view to take on Bedard and highly inaccurate. "I was done with 5'10" puckmovers when the first one arrived."
  2. ... have you seen the arena? This fanbase doesn't have another year left.
  3. My God is this one of the most lopsided poorly constructed trades ever listed on the forum.
  4. We won't finishing bottom 4 and I don't think you understand how charity bets work
  5. Cam Allen Mikhail Gulyayev Theo Lindstein Caden Price That's right now, I'd expect changes. All are 2-4 years post draft away.
  6. Couple of things. First, Bedard won't be 5'10" 175lbs come the combine. Second, Jack Hughes Third, we won't be drafting 1st overall Fourth, Bedard makes Eichel look like Zemgus It's shorter to write, " I don't watch Bedard play hockey"
  7. The fact 4 other ppl looked at this first sentence and said "yes, I like that" tells me everything I need to know about who has or hasn't watched Bedard, a guy born in mid July. Special level of ignorance there.
  8. Adam Fantilli, 6'2" C, currently leads the NCAA in points and PPG. He is old for the draft as he is already 18 but he is really solidifying his standing as the 2nd guy in this draft behind Bedard. Bedard btw is a 5'10" C, who is currently leading the WHL in points, goals, ppg and won't be 18 until July 17th making him a lot younger than Fantilli by comparison. I mention his age specifically because ik some would look down on his size but... we don't actually know what he'll measure at the combine considering his young draft age.
  9. You know who has quietly been pretty decent this year without much fanfare from this board? Isak Rosen. Now I am not here to say he's been fantastic but if he actually gets about 50 points in his first NA AHL season, that is a major step forward for him and we should be encouraged by it.
  10. See now this I would agree with but it isn't because we are small. It is about willingness and effort.
  11. Dylan Cozens is not anywhere close to being Zemgus 2.0 because he is significantly better. https://theathletic.com/3906204/2022/11/17/sabres-numbers-dylan-cozens-tage-thompson/?source=emp_shared_article
  12. Yup, that's the way. Just add a tall fat guy and we will win. The fact after all these years ppl still spout this is something, idk what but it is something. Sabres are 17th in NHL average weight and 1lb lighter than Vancouver. I am annoyed because I keep reading this and it keeps being false. I would see this same post in 2013 when we brought in Ott and Scott and had to draft Kassian and it amounted to nothing. We aren't losing because of size, we are losing because of effort... again. The team should be embarrassed about last night. Size doesn't equal toughness and never has.
  13. If Adams doesn't get another nhl defender and soon, we can all start looking at the draft. Pilut, Bryson, Fitz are 7/8 defenders. Move on while you can still salvage the season.
  14. As I said, it's not the be all end all.
  15. Sure it does. If a defender in juniors is bad at getting the puck and getting out of their zone, they won't generate points. It is not the be all end all (see Novikov in the KHL) but it does tell us about their abilities to transition up ice, keep pucks in the offensive zone, and retrieve pucks in the def zone.
  16. I would be concerned if I didn't already assume that pick was wasted desperation forced through by someone on the scouting staff. Analytically, Leinonen was a terrible pick in the early 2nd round. idk what SWE1 is but it should say Alls for Allsveskan.
