  1. I love Ryan Leonard. "Ryan Leonard's projectable physical profile as an inside-driven finisher coupled with ever-increasing flashes of playmaking skill sent him to lucky No. 7. If you want to get a power forward out of this year's draft, he's your guy." https://eprinkside.com/2023/03/23/the-elite-prospects-pre-u18-ranking-of-the-top-80-prospects-in-the-2023-nhl-draft
  2. You know what, I don't want to do this anymore. This play has become an unreadable nightmare of bitching about EVERYTHING. It is truly a depressing hellscape of myopic hate posting. Maybe we will finish 11th and get Bedard but then I will just see posts about how he isn't 6'8" and doesn't eat opposing hockey player mid game while murdering their lineage with his hockey sticks and single handedly winning games with his big swinning... puck.
  3. No they aren't but man is the most useless hill to die. "THEY DIDN"T GIVE HIM SABRES COLORED PANTS!" I mean, not like he is starting tonight so whatever.
  4. Got it, anything that happens is awful and you want to complain. Just like about 85% of this board the last bit here. Woo is us, let's all get in a circle and cry together because Devon Levi had to wait an extra day to get his pants fitted properly and certified by the league. I'm trying to care that guy who has had 1 practice and won't even by on the bench tonight has Amerks pants on but I just can't bring myself to give a *****.
  5. Connor Bedard is 6 months younger than McDavid was in his draft year and exactly 10 months younger than Auston Matthews was in his draft year. His shot and his stickhandling I think should be somewhat scary to opposing teams. 17yr old doing what he has done in the WHL is impressive when the next closest player in ppg is 2.4 years older, Logan Stankoven. And why I say closest I mean .52ppg lower. Considering his skating already has agility and speed, we should expect it to get faster as he gains strength. It will be very interesting to see what he measures at the combine considering his mid July bday.
  6. I don't think we will finish low enough to even be in the Bedard lottery (have to finish 11th over worse) but maybe I am an optimist. Here is what Connor Bedard brings.
  7. UPL would have still been looking the wrong way on that.
  8. See, you're not a Sabres fan. No Sabres fan refers to other Sabres fans like this. They implies a group you're not in. Freudian slip but reveals a lot. Enjoy the Bruins cup run.
  9. You're already going to lose a bet on bottom 4.
  10. Yes and it was not Nashville it was Boston. How many times do you need to bring up fake news? @Quint
  11. Source? Seriously, tell us how you came to this number.
  12. Florida has some excellent jersey designers.
  13. Karmanos is making good money I bet. That said, TP does not have to spend that, let's say 400k?, on these ppl. That is still money that is going out and that all adds up in the big picture. If you want to cut costs you do. I forget which baseball movie it is but the players have to pay for gatorade or something like that and the manager thinks it sucks but the owner wants to cut costs. In the grand scheme does the 10k a year on gatorade really matter? No but IMPO rich people tend to view any way to shave money off their bottom line as worth it.
  14. The Chicago Blackhawks are my most hated franchise in the NHL. They are a bunch of gutless asshats between the abuse scandal they deliberately hid and now this, spineless cowards. I'd demand a trade over this to be honest, otherwise you are just performing and don't actually care about these communities you claim to support.
  15. Jeff Skinner 2 seasons post Krueger: 63g, 68a, 147games, 0.891ppg. Skinner is worth 8mil but he is far from crap. They have added 3 ppl to the analytics department that once was just Jason "Don't Draft Point" Nightengale
  16. I don't know anyone here who thinks Power should get the Calder. Ramus Dahlin is the best defender the Sabres have and should be in the Norris conversation. He shouldn't be blamed for not being able to carry the husk of Clague and Bryson on his back while injured.
  17. Jiri Kulich will not turn 19 until April 14th. This matters because he has basically played his entire AHL season as an 18yr old which is exceedingly uncommon. During that time the 6' 180lb C/W (I think he is going to end up at wing) has managed to get 19g, 18a, in 52games. He is rolling at a 0.712ppg pace this season which is his first in NA but his 2nd playing in a men's pro league as he was in the Czech Men's league (Extraliga is the common name) in his draft year. Now the question is how do you handle Mr. Kulich going into 2023. I think he needs to stay in the AHL. For as good as his individual skills are, there is refinement needed in his game that would be easier to do in the AHL. He can get a callup or 2 next year but I would make sure he stays below the 10 game threshold and allow him to round out his game a bit more. In my perfect world, he is the replacement of Olofsson as I think his shot is very good but he has more in his game than VO. Also, he still needs what most 18yr olds need, strength. I think this recap from Elite Prospects before the draft is very important because you see and hear some of the issues that I still think exist. He needs to improve his overall game and playmaking as well as his deception. I timestamped it to start on the Kulich bit but if that does not work, check the video description. Anyways, how are we feeling about Jiri Kulich, 28th overall draft pick from 2022?
