Greenway gives me nothing.

Nothing kills the Sabres momentum faster than a Sabres PP

The drop pass is garbage.

Hey Vesey! Go back to college you bum.

I think Helge Grans, 20 could be available. Rough list, note that I don't know if these ppl are available but here is what we got. All players listed shoot right. Erik Cernak, 26 Rasmus Andersson, 26 John Marino, 26 Filip Hronek, 25 Dante Fabbro, 25 Zach Whitecloud, 26 Timothy Liljegren, 24 Topi Niemelä, 21 Filip Johansson, 23 Idk if all these guys are fits and I don't and have not followed most of them. Just a rough list based on a quick look around.

We need to look for defenders between 21 and 26yrs old that might be on the block. That seems the range that Adams would be willing to spend assets to acquire.

Will be interesting to see how Levi adapts to the speed, which is the only real concern I have. His game depends on puck tracking and reaction to those plays.

No team in the NHL drafts well enough to only sit on their prospects, even 1st rounders. At least 1 of Rosen, Östlund, Savoie, and Kulich will bust to some degree. Also the draft doesn't allow you to fill holes as easily as trades and ufa. Trading prospects that might or might not matter to your team in 3 years so you can be good during the ensuing 3 years doesn't shorten your window, it opens one.

My best buddy is and I go to a bunch of games with him. We've talked about in the future splitting the tickets and where he sits it is def worth it. I think it comes down to if you want to go to 20-41 games a year and where you want to sit. I personally think there are spots in that arena that I wouldn't pay to be in.

Agreed. You can't project 3-5 years from now that well so if you see signs your team can make the jump, you owe it to them to do things that can help you now, not 3-5 years from now when you think they will be ready. If this team isn't consciously setting the bar at playoffs next season we have a problem.

Would love to see Östlund with Kulich. Also think that Novikov would thrive in Rochester considering he just did a full KHL season at 19. Really would be fun to see him on in NA and get a better feel for him. Neuchev is interesting. I would almost lean towards the AHL for him as well simply because he did the KHL this year and from what I know of his story, the Russian Jr. league is easy for him at this point. He put up 6pts in 3 playoff games when he got returned to that league. Idk, I suppose Canadian Jrs is a level above that to be sure but I still wonder if he really needs to be challenged if he will grow his game and the AHL might afford more of a challenge for him.

Would definitely use a 6th or 7th round pick on him without hesitation. I would make a trade for him in a heartbeat. I can't see them trading him but that would get me to discuss moving the 2023 1st rounder and something else of value to Calgary. He's 26 and signed for 3 more seasons at really good value.

I'm kinda questioning if this draft really is deep and not just good at the top. Seems somewhat average after you get outside the top 7ish.

Noah Hanifin you say?

Actually, I'm just never going to discuss things with you again. See when someone decides to be a... well that word gets me banned... you don't seek their acceptance. There's me disagreeing with how you compared the two, then there's this personal sack of trash post. Enjoy your day.

If you're in a playoff race and you're gonna go with Skinner, Mitts, Olofsson when you have to have the point, you're buying your own supply. Granato should know based on practice and the last season who's going. This entire notion of "well my gut felt like this guy was going tonight" cost us a point. Granato ***** up, period.
-
Eh, he hasn't practiced in over a week. I think they just wanted him to get reps. Time will tell.
-
Mitts is a 3rd line winger. Vo is a pp and shot specialist. We need to pick one and move on from the other if we're serious about winning next season. Bringing back both is a failure regardless of how liked they are by coaches or the room.

This is a good example of Leonard, creating space for himself. He leave the puck and just pushes the defender away before retrieving the puck and going about his business. https://youtu.be/3ESFwd8HCiM?t=206
