  1. Yea... because if they had made the playoffs and lost 4-0 in the first round (they would have) these guys would have definitely kept their jobs... for sure.
  2. There will be multiple 2nd round rhd options available with the Philly pick.
  3. I want Levi as the backup with someone better and veteran starting 50 times next year.
  4. Gophers list him as 6'1" 190lbs https://gophersports.com/sports/mens-ice-hockey/roster
  5. If true, then I have extreme fears about who is steering this ship and to where. The Leinonen pick already put me on high alert but if this is the line they feed us, they have lost the plot and don't understand NHL drafting or development which has been the Achilles heel of this franchise since 2010 in at least.
  6. Ryan Johnson becomes a special class of Unrestricted Free Agent on August 15(?) 2023, if he does not sign with the Sabres before then. He is not draft eligible and will not be in the NHL entry draft ever again. It's the 63rd pick and they technically call it the last pick of the 2nd round but splitting hairs if we want to label it that or the first pick of the 3rd. Either way, the 63rd pick of the 2024 draft is worth much less than Ryan Johnson in a Sabres uniform in 2024. That pick if you hit on it would be ready in 2028 or 2029 and that's a long way to wait on something with no guarantee of success. If our gm is having a conversation about how the team thinks they can draft a guy at 63rd a year from now and make him better than Ryan Johnson 5 years from... the lost the plot and we need to seriously question their decision making. It makes no sense to travel that road at all.
  7. I dont understand what you mean by "draft stock". If Johnson doesn't sign Buffalo gets the 63rd pick in the 2024 NHL draft. I'd rather have an NHL defender.
  8. Do you want an NHL player in 2024 or do you want a 3rd round pick that might be an nhl player in 2028/9 is the question and if Buffalo is having that conversation my faith in them is in question. It's like the Leinonen pick, not good.
  9. I agree. At 13/14 you are getting a player 2-4 years away from an nhl debut. Reinbacher I might be willing to wait on but really we need to go outside of the draft and Buffalo to acquire defense help. 13/14 overall is a big piece and we'd still have 2 2nds to add talent.
  10. I'd bet money on Anderson starting. I think Buffalo wins too.
  11. I have no room on my team for UPL.
  12. NHL.com sorry if that isn't an acceptable source.
  13. And blocked permanently. You don't really contribute much to the board so it isn't a loss. At least Perrault, who I disagree with, has ideas. You are just an empty shell incapable of anything more. Fair thee well Lazy Weave, fair thee well.
  14. This is lazy. Very lazy. GAA went from 3.29 to 3.44 which means Buffalo went from a tie for 6th worst to a tie for... 5th worst wow. SV% went from .894% to .890% which is going from 27th UP to 25th. What other D metrics you got? I listed them when you wouldn't. You just say they are bad with no context or even showing us the numbers.
  15. Lazy? I am asking you to look at a ***** trade list and say which ones you felt buffalo should have done. Why don't you contribute more useful discourse to this forum instead of this crap.
  16. 6th or 7th round pick if they want to add a goalie. Same goes for Suchanek if they wanted to draft him (I think he is eligible again). Most likely both go undrafted again.
  17. It is not 2 separate questions. Should Adams bring in a legit #1 goalie like Saros or not?
  18. And you should have known better than to post not 1 but 2 separate things yesterday jinxing the team but here we are. Scoring is up league wide this year so really we are just about the same.
  19. Please let us know what trade was executed between Dec 15 and Feb 15 that you felt the Sabres should have not only been in on but 100% made sure they executed to improve the team. Again what move can you point to that occurred in that 2 month window when Adams supposedly should have made a move? Any move you want to through out there that you feel would have improved the team but Adams didn't do it?
  20. Unless you are the one seed. And no, I don't think your reasoning here adds up. It is having even a reasonable chance of winning a playoff round and with the injuries this team is playing under, the fatigue of going 100% for months on end (Granato talked about how the good teams conserve energy in Oct, Nov, Dec.), and the mental fatigue of finally realizing what you can do, this team wasn't going anywhere else. Boston is a juggernaut, we can accept that and still wish to have played them while also not wanting to sacrifice stuff in season to get that chance. As you say, nuance.
  21. I don't think this draft is particularly deep. I think it is average in terms of depth and in terms of defensive depth, I would say it is slightly below average. Depth in a draft is defined by not only talent dropoffs but by how many NHL players there are in it. Most draft have about 55-65 NHL players. Even if you get lucky enough that Reinbacher slides to 13 (I doubt this) you still have 2 years to wait on him, maybe 1 and then his rookie year. If I can package Olofsson and the 2023 1st for a 24ish yr old RHD, that fits in the top 4, I make that trade without a 2nd thought.
