  1. He's 2nd in the entire league for defensemen points. He's played 3 and 4 games less than the guy in front and the guy behind him.
  2. For all of the Tuch or Cozens for captain talk, all I can say is it will be Rasmus Dahlin when everything is said and done. Here's 2 minutes of Dahlin shooting. He's a wizard and Ralph Krueger is Voldemort.
  3. I want to toss out that some around here are talking about moving Quinn to the 3rd line or even trading him. Quinn is going to be an absolute nightmare for teams within the next 2 years. Granato was talking this morning about how Quinn is slight and needs to add that muscle to be able to do what he did against Minnesota consistently. He is one of the most skilled players on this team and every year he has progressed from juniors to the ahl to hopefully the nhl, he has seen a high upwards trajectory. Just wanted to throw that out there.
  4. I will respectfully disagree. I think Granato moves Tage to center regardless due to his reasoning for doing, Tage's reach and being pinned against walls.
  5. Of Note, Pronman ranks Reinbacher 6th which is about 10 spots higher than the next closest and he currently has a consensus ranking of 28th (which will creep up as we go) Other RHD that may interest ppl:
  6. Pronman's rankings https://theathletic.com/4121735/2023/01/31/nhl-draft-top-prospects-2023-midseason/ Of note would be that he lists Bedard at 5'9.75" so perhaps he is having a growth spurt. He does have a July b-day so a 5'11" Bedard wouldn't surprise me much.
  7. In the last 5 years the NYI have missed the playoffs 2 times. Their 3 playoff appearances have resulted in one 2nd round exit and I think two conference finals exit. They haven't had a 1st round draft pick since 2019 and won't have one presumably in 2023 but at worst 2024. The NYI prospect pool was ranked 27th this past month by Scott Wheeler at the Athletic https://theathletic.com/3971817/2023/01/14/islanders-nhl-prospect-pool-rankings-2023/. Their #1 prospect was Raty, who again projects out to a 2/3 center in the NHL, is now gone from the pool. This probably would re-rank them lower than 27th. I think the Islanders can make the playoffs but I'm not sure how much noise they can make there due to a lack of depth. They are leaning heavily on goaltending and their offense is better with Horvat but still 2 levels below Boston or similar teams. I guess we shall see but the NYI remind me a little of Vegas, a team that has gambled too much on the now at the expense of the future.
  8. I don't know. I am fairly certain he would have to go back to the CHL but maybe there is a loophole.
  9. If 2/3 center is "stud" then sure. It's almost like the NYI are a team with a weak prospect pool that just got weaker and even they make the playoffs are almost guaranteed a first round exit. Many of us have been and are in favor of Buffalo making a move to fix issues, such as defense.
  10. I wondering if he becomes the extra forward. The chl arrangement is trash for 1st round picks and Savoie will learn more practicing in Buffalo than he will playing as a 20yr old in the WHL.
  11. Pommers played 10 years for us.
  12. I'm very aware that it means 2024 is unprotected. They didn't at the time of the trade. Horvat said his agent hadn't even spoken to the NYI.
  13. Horvat is currently at 31g and over a ppg. Honestly though, idc. We didn't trade for him. Stay classy Vancouver.
  14. It isn't about career numbers. It's about when they get traded.
  15. I think Reinhart was less valuable, yes.
  16. Nah, Raty might be a 2nd line guy. His skating will leaves a lot to be desired.
  17. That I think you're wrong about the isles so good luck.
  18. Say what now? Well since you disagree with me I'll just say...
  19. Why trade a 1st round pick for a ufa that fits none of our needs?
