  1. Feels very mid century German to me. Obviously not what they intended
  2. Lukas Rousek. Also there's still time and we know they are looking.
  3. Uhhh... who wants to tell them what their podium kinda looks like?
  4. If I look at my Adams checklist I have: Acquire a top 4 defender Acquire a top 6 defender Acquire a solid backup or fringe starting goalie So he did about 67% of that, that's worth at least a C
  5. You know what is interesting about Slafkovsky is that the scouting reports and what I was seeing in video was a guy who didn't often make moves in stride with head up, a lot of gliding and moves while looking at the puck. I am not saying Slafkovsky can't make it but I think he needs 2-3 years of development to really harness all that skill. Montreal should have let him stay in Liiga for another season or put him in the AHL if possible. I think they did what a lot of teams do and equate size with readiness. Big players might not be ready just like small players might not be ready. He will be interesting to watch. One of the things I like about Benson is the pro level habits that you don't need to develop, he already scans the ice, makes not only moves but passes with his head up and in stride, and his backchecking stick work is advanced. Benson needs to work on his overall speed and how fast he accelerates, they aren't bad but we saw it in this prospect tournament (back on topic) where he could be chased down or wouldn't quite get the separation he needed. The good news is I think with some stride work and obviously more muscle he will get that jump but it would be where I would focus if I were him. Novikov, comes as advertised. I think his stride needs some work and there were a few times I thought he was a little flat footed just anchoring the front of the net. Outside of that there is an offensive skillset there that is just BEGGGING to be released, his shot was great and his hand eye coordination was also great. He had more handling moves than I realized too. Also, once hitting is allowed, oh man. There were several plays where you could just tell Novikov was going to level a guy but backed off due to scrimmage rules. For a guy who won't be 20 for a few weeks, he was the most composed and reliable defender on the ice. I cannot wait to see what he can do in the AHL. I bet he starts slow in October and November but in December things start to really click and by January, he's going to be a force.
  6. Both numbers are probably correct. 50% will play NHL games, only 25% will be NHL regulars.
  7. He's signed through all of the 2023/24 season so I'm not worried.
  8. Something something the trades you don't make are best something something darkside
  9. Not to rain on parades but, it is just a summer scrimmage. Half these guys will never make the NHL.
  10. Dahlin - Clifton Power - E. Johnson Samuelsson - Jokiharju With the ability to switch muel up to dahlin and Clifton back for E Johnson. Lyubushkin is your 7th D and they may run 7D. Btw, not advocating for this but suggesting a possibility
  11. He's almost 200lbs so no. Novikov is Russian dump truck.
  12. Novikov won't be 20 for another 3 weeks. He's gonna fun in Rochester.
  13. Buffalo Sabres @BuffaloSabres · 2m The teams are set for today's 3v3 tournament! Who's playing, where to watch & more: https://bufsabres.co/3NEJd3w
  14. The numbers in each category are the rank not a count (idk if you knew but for anyone glancing at it) and basically because Buffalo has so many good prospects they blow past teams with only 1 or 2 great ones. Also Power, Quinn, and JJP are still being used in our rankings because they haven't hit 100 nhl games. Short version, we have a quantity of quality that the 3 behind us don't have. Also Baders model is questionable. That said Columbus and Detroit fall right in line with how I think those teams are. I think Columbus is more likely to excel past Detroit then Detroit is to get good soon unless every ufa works out. Yzerman really likes his high floor mediocre ceiling guys.
  15. Unbeknownst to most, I'm almost always at the scrimmage but sadly tomorrow is a day of days.
  16. We've got another 2 years of development before I'd ever think much about Kisakov outside Rochester. That's okay though. Not everyone is ready at 21 or 22.
  17. He's 160lbs now according to the camp roster
