  1. What is also interesting is that Östlund has another year on his deal but that is only if Djurgardens get promoted back to the SHL. If not he can terminate and leave which paves the way for him to come to the AHL. Personally hope Djurgadens gets back up to the SHL. To put Östlund's production in context, if you limit the Allsveskan to u22 and sort by PPG, Östlund is 1st.
  2. Interesting news that will impact Noah Östlund. His much higher touted draft and teammate injured his foot and will be out basically the rest of the season. Could mean more opportunity for Östlund.
  3. Brain injuries are horrifying. My hope is that she still has all her physical faculties (walking and both hands) as that adds another layer on top of the loss of memory and mental issues (lapses, speech, cognition). Nothing is more heartbreaking than watching someone who knows exactly what they want to do (stand) be unable due to injury.
  4. I wonder if they haven't done this because that would be all right shots on the top line and they want the versatility of having Skinner's left shot.
  5. Well that was an emotional read. The longest I have ever been awake without sleep (no cat-nap, no resting my eyes for 10 minutes) was the 42 hours I spent in a hospital due to a family member having a severe health issue. It felt like a week. Sounds like her daughter saved her life.
  6. The thing to watch with Quinn in the last stretch here is how he manipulates defenders and the space around himself to make that additional play be it a pass, shot, or just to move into new space. Dahlin is very good at this where he will bait defenders or manipulate them to get where he wants to go or open up something he wants. Tage Thomposon has started doing this more when he isn't trying to shoot. He can manipulate defenders when he wants to shoot but now he has added another level to that. Jack Quinn is a step above JJP because JJP is very much a straight forward, dangles with speed attacker. Jack Quinn can do that but you also see him slam the breaks or fake something or thread a pass somewhere etc. There is just more nuance to what Quinn does and as soon as he is 190lbs, he will be able to do things regularly that we now only catch glimpses of.
  7. I expect a steady increase and that the all-star break will have helped him. Quinn is projected to 35pts but I am going to put him at 40pts for the year. 16g, 24a when all is said and done. Next year... 65pts or more.
  8. I looked at this and honestly it smells of Roldemort bias where the fact we had the anti-coach for 2 years is still being used to impact predictions. Couple that with the fact UFA additions to teams are over inflated in the model where internal additions are given far less impact and we get a model that says the Redwings are better. Of course the model also projected Tage to regress (which is what it says about the xgf) which didn't happen. I am glad we are still the underdog. Let's be underdogs and either win or lose.
  9. Well that was interesting... everyone okay?
  10. His possession metrics are terrifyingly bad. 39.9cf% and a -11.5 for xgf. Vladislav Gavrikov sounds like someone who struggles to gain possession and transition the puck up ice.
  11. Idk if you wanna label a guy who's only season at ppg is this one, as a ppg player. He's also shooting 7.7% above his career average that spans 8 previous seasons. All I'm saying is the most likely outcome is regression for Horvat.
  12. Nyi talking about how this is a game changer and I just feel bad for them. They'll be better yes, but it's not enough.
  13. Cozens, Bryson, also there. Looked like Tuch in that video taking Tages kid.
  14. Did they all go to the Bahamas together?
  15. The other thing is notice how the collars on all the other ones are not white? That would have been better too.
  16. Nah, none of these are gonna happen. The NHL likes it how it is.
  17. Tage came 1 more season of Krueger away from probably being a bust or a JAG. Glad that's not the case, as long as we don't expect every 24yr old to suddenly "mature physically" we will be fine.
