Very true. Los Mayas and Maizal have excellent rice and beans and I know that Maizal has good mole.

Gramma Mora's is like Mighty Taco in that you either like it or don't but you know it isn't Mexican.

Name a team and a player where the fanbase wouldn't lose their ***** if a Marchand "took them out". This applies to everyone and it is why you need a team defending itself in its entirety versus bringing in a 4th line deterrent type. I am sure Greenway and Mitts and Benson can handle it, IF it were to even come up. Lucic won't even be able to catch Benson because Lucic is slow as crap now.

If Adams saw the Quinn injury and changed his tune on VO I think that is a mistake. The analytics alone show that we should move forward. Love VO as a person and for a long time as a player. 7th round picks rarely do what he did, but I think subtracting VO from this team and replacing him with anyone from Savoie to Rousek to Biro, makes this team better.

The guy who runs Maizal is from Oaxaca and he often puts regional Oaxaca dishes on his menu or as specials.

It would be a massive mistake on Adams part to view the Quinn injury as a reason to keep VO. If you have decided to move on from a player do it and let the rest of your depth compensate.

anything other than RJ. Little Johnson and Big Johnson for Erik. Again, just not RJ. -

Not his nickname, nor will it be in Buffalo. Again, no. RJ is the one and only RJ. I get that this is Ryan Johnson's initials but no, stop it. This is RJ. -
Where's the best Mexican food in Buffalo and what's your go to item? Going with Maizal on transit, east Amherst, and they have a brunch burrito that's amazing. My wife though loves their chimichangas.

Maizal on transit. Delightful Mexican, my favorite. Los Mayos in Cheektowaga. -
2 of the top 3 goalies in goals saved above expected are Shesterkin and Sorokin. Just interesting the Sabres might have played the 2 best goalies to open the season.

I think not meeting in person eliminates all this small side conversations that build relationships

There's alumni stuff constantly. Idk if you live in Buffalo but there are lots of things they do in the community and with the players.

I dislike this thread because it sits here and the main philosophy is that "we need this magical outside help" and it is the same reason I reject the idea of adding that one gritty guy to "protect the kids/stars". This team isn't going to succeed because of outside help, they need to find it within their own locker room. I think teaching them about what the team means to the city is good and Adams has done a lot of that. I also think having alumni around is good because the players see that connection but if the idea is that some great wisdom is going to be conveyed because we have these alumni hanging out and that will get us over the playoff hump, I don't agree. It is just another way to excuse failure when the truth is the team has to find a way, they have to do it themselves. No one is coming to fight their fights or win their battles.
