  1. What if you are firmly against war of any kind? Do you feel united when you are forced to recognize someone who actively participates in that process? What about the growing nationalist movement in this country which has pushed those in the military as a better class of citizen? Should we feel that is true and make sure we honor those who serve? What about police, first responders, firefighters? Haven't seen a night dedicated to them and yet Buffalo just recently lost a firefighter in the line of duty. What about teachers? Do they not "serve"? Nurses and Doctors just went through a dumpster fire of the last 3 years, why is it that we do not unite and celebrate them? Should be stop any nights in hockey that honor black or minority hockey players because some will find that divisive? I am just asking questions that others might have after reading such a definitive statement as "recognizing people who served in the armed forces unites people" and I would like to add one more question. If someone served or didn't serve, are religious or are not religious, why are they opposed to equality for ppl who are not heteronormative? Maybe at the end the question is not did someone serve in the armed forces but why did they serve in the armed forces? Again, just asking some questions not necessarily presenting my views on this.
  2. We can keep him down all next year with an occasional callup. He's basically a touch ahead of Quinn's 15 game pace in his first AHL season and far below his AHL season last year. Kulich can hang out another year in the AHL.
  3. Again, @SDS we need the confused emoji back Just going off draft year stats? Bedard. He's got 71g and won't be 18 until mid July. Whether he becomes as good as McDavid is another question entirely. Bedard has one of the best shots I've ever seen in a prospect.
  4. Jack Quinn may end up the best forward from his draft class. P/60 levels off after a certain amount of ice time from what I've seen. It doesn't just go up exponentially. What I'm saying is yes, Quinns points will increase with more ice time but at some point that levels off. He's absurdly good though 5v5 and has all those untapped pp1 points still to add.
  5. What are you talking about? Bedard is McDavid level good as far as prospects go.
  6. Love to hear this. We no longer have any Vegas picks so win all the regular season games you want.
  7. No 😔 Reinbacher a little
  8. Ik this is old but hear me out. The season is ending so we can reevaluate it.
  9. I love Ryan Leonard. "Ryan Leonard's projectable physical profile as an inside-driven finisher coupled with ever-increasing flashes of playmaking skill sent him to lucky No. 7. If you want to get a power forward out of this year's draft, he's your guy." https://eprinkside.com/2023/03/23/the-elite-prospects-pre-u18-ranking-of-the-top-80-prospects-in-the-2023-nhl-draft
  10. You know what, I don't want to do this anymore. This play has become an unreadable nightmare of bitching about EVERYTHING. It is truly a depressing hellscape of myopic hate posting. Maybe we will finish 11th and get Bedard but then I will just see posts about how he isn't 6'8" and doesn't eat opposing hockey player mid game while murdering their lineage with his hockey sticks and single handedly winning games with his big swinning... puck.
  11. No they aren't but man is the most useless hill to die. "THEY DIDN"T GIVE HIM SABRES COLORED PANTS!" I mean, not like he is starting tonight so whatever.
  12. Got it, anything that happens is awful and you want to complain. Just like about 85% of this board the last bit here. Woo is us, let's all get in a circle and cry together because Devon Levi had to wait an extra day to get his pants fitted properly and certified by the league. I'm trying to care that guy who has had 1 practice and won't even by on the bench tonight has Amerks pants on but I just can't bring myself to give a *****.
  13. Connor Bedard is 6 months younger than McDavid was in his draft year and exactly 10 months younger than Auston Matthews was in his draft year. His shot and his stickhandling I think should be somewhat scary to opposing teams. 17yr old doing what he has done in the WHL is impressive when the next closest player in ppg is 2.4 years older, Logan Stankoven. And why I say closest I mean .52ppg lower. Considering his skating already has agility and speed, we should expect it to get faster as he gains strength. It will be very interesting to see what he measures at the combine considering his mid July bday.
  14. I don't think we will finish low enough to even be in the Bedard lottery (have to finish 11th over worse) but maybe I am an optimist. Here is what Connor Bedard brings.
  15. UPL would have still been looking the wrong way on that.
  16. See, you're not a Sabres fan. No Sabres fan refers to other Sabres fans like this. They implies a group you're not in. Freudian slip but reveals a lot. Enjoy the Bruins cup run.
  17. You're already going to lose a bet on bottom 4.
  18. Yes and it was not Nashville it was Boston. How many times do you need to bring up fake news? @Quint
