  1. BTW, I am fine with trading Savoie if it gets us something good. Personally I think there are some defenders out there we could use Savoie to get and probably should. How many fast skating finesse guys under 6ft do we need? Savoie doesn't bring a skillset that is all that different from Kulich, Rosen, Östlund. Rosen probably never makes the NHL or is a middle 6 guy. Kulich has top 6 potential because of his shot but his 200ft game still needs some work. Östlund is probably the most complete of these 3 but he needs to eat a metric ton pasta and live in a weight room. That leaves Savoie who is probably the best of the 4 but also has the most value. They won't trade any of them until long after their value depreciates but I would be thinking long and hard at the deadline and this summer which 2 I want to keep and ship the other two off. There simply isn't room and honestly, 5'11" good skating forwards with puck skills are fairly easy to find in drafts into the 2nd round.
  2. @Ogelthorpe @xzy89c1 Savoie got injured in the WHL playoffs before he was drafted. He then got injured in a prospect game the following summer. Keep being upset and stupid because you need that sweet hit of confirmation bias. BTW Savoie didn't even miss a WJC game and ended up playing so for an injury prone guy he sure does play alot of games. Idc anymore because PA was right, this board's quality has dropped. No it isn't. But hey, don't let facts get in the way of your feelings.
  3. should probably think about signing Mitts instead of trading him.
  4. He played 65 and 62 games in the whl the last two years but hey, don't let that ruin a good narrative. Not even true.
  5. What sound does a sheep make when it explodes?
  6. Rangers ruining their prospects, am I doing this right?
  7. Idk where to put this but, since I defended Dahlin earlier today.
  8. Mitts scored the most points on the team in the 2023 calendar year. He was also top 5 in 5v5 points for the last calendar year.
  9. Their 5v5 shooting chances are similar but everything else is way down and that included HD chances. They aren't good. It's not just the pp although that's horrendous.
  10. Just listened to Granato on wgr. If a coach can lose the players, they can lose the fans. Granato has lost me, so disappointed in him.
  11. Again, I tried to tell ppl at the draft that in college Power was not a physical player and I basically was told to shut up. He's not going to be that guy.
  12. The pp last year was trash after the 2 months of getting the half wall one timer or the Ovechkin, through. Once teams took that away, the pp became what it is today. Peter's and Rivet are clueless half the time. Calling these two "good" and saying how they "powerfully" discuss this is something. The "they powerfully discuss" line reminded me of some of the garbage I see on Twitter. Using language like that reminds me of certain click bait and fear mongering headlines.
  13. I see we have reached the blame the best player portion of the season. Dahlin is on pace for 22g and 64pts. So he's gonna get more goals than last year but less assists cuz the rest of the team can't score for *****. Rasmus Dahlin is the best player on the team, the fault for this season lies elsewhere.
  14. That's how he played in college too.
  15. We have the deepest prospect pool in the league. You've adopted the "there's nothing Adams could do" philosophy and I think it's horse turds. Multiple middle 6 forwards and several #4 defenders go in ufa every year yet Adams is the only gm who seemingly can't get one ever.
  16. "I thought the pair of Jonathan Lekkerimäki (VAN) and Noah Östlund (BUF) were excellent again for Sweden, too. They’ve been Sweden’s most dangerous duo up front and created a ton of looks on Tuesday. Lekkerimäki scored Sweden’s second goal and assisted on the winner to push him to seven points in five games. Östlund also chipped in on the winner and had the puck a lot (he too is up to seven points). His skating and craftiness have really jumped out here." — Scott Wheeler https://theathletic.com/5174963/2024/01/02/world-junior-championship-day-7-takeaways-canada-eliminated?source=user-shared-article
  17. No one is saying blow it up. We're literally asking for the minimum a competent gm would do. An nhl goalie, a middle 6 forward, 2 top 4 defenders. Oh and a real pp coach.
  18. Don't be impatient, we should wait another 20 or 30 or even 40 years to make the playoffs.
