  1. I think one thing to think about if they use 9, is that mrtka isn't as important to Buffalo with Kesselring in the fold. Jackson Smith has really slid in consensus rankings so he's gonna be available.
  2. Frondell at least to me, isn't dynamic. Yes the shot is, but his skating, passing, handling, defense are all just fine. He just seems like one of these guys who's a good puck protector with a great shot who's gonna give you 30g, 30a at his peak and I need more at 2nd overall.
  3. You can just match the offer
  4. There's a lot belief that no Def will go between Schaefer and 9.
  5. I'll stand by this. There's a bunch of guys from like 33-55 I could rank but honestly, I couldn't tell you much about who's better. It's more like pick your traits. With Kesselring on the team, I think it frees up Buffalo to focus on things other than RHD. I'd probably take a lhd, and a few bigger forwards. We have two 4ths and three 7ths so a goalie makes sense too.
  6. Sign him, give him pp time, play him with Dahlin.
  7. This made me curious. JJ Peterka started on the offensive zone 55.8% of the time at 5v5 and 65.8% of the time for all TOI.
  8. We traded scoring for defense/grit
  9. I'd be interested in Hagel if he's moved.
  10. Idk, I keep wondering about Dahlin and to a lesser extent Thompson. However, you're right this is a totally fake story at the moment and we shouldn't believe jjp was some locker room issue... just like Eichel and Reinhart weren't either.
  11. I think that's fair. I guess the real heart of the question is, is Buffalo better with this Peterka trade than if they just kept Peterka. I'm not sure because part of me thinks Peterka isn't what we need but part also thinks we didn't get enough. In the end, I might bet well be wrong, in fact it's probably more likely the Sabres are worse off right now than with Peterka. But there's still this part of me that thinks they're better.
  12. Yea, that's pretty accurate. This thread asked for a hard decision and I decided to lean yes and answer yes. This trade could very very easily blow up in buffalo's face. I wanted the sure fire win, hence Robertson. So I'm both disappointed and still ok with the return. Yes, I recognize the juxtaposition of it.
  13. Yes. You asked if I wanted more in a trade. I do. Now this asks if I like the trade. It's 2 different questions.
  14. Being a top 10 draft pick is irrelevant approximately 1 day after the draft ends.
  15. Idk what Harrington is smoking. Most of us liked the trade.
