I've seen this quite a bit. Idk why anyone thought of Doan as a throw in. Ik it wasn't a big talking point here but it certainly was other places including wgr. Peterka is a better shooter and a better driver if rush offense. I haven't seen enough of Doan to think he's better than JJP.

The idea for trading power isn't because he is terrible or useless, it's because I think within the Sabres system we can replace him and get a different feel on that defense. I'm sure power will get better but this team needs a injection and I think we can get that by trading power. I also think that Power is more expendable than other pieces. I also don't want him traded by Adams or for a pick and a prospect. Someone mentioned Will Smith, that's along the lines I'm thinking. A good young forward and a sweetener like a 2nd. Young being being 26 or less. Ik some will roll eyes and be like omg we're just staying younger but I don't think this team is anywhere close and it's trading young for young. Or, trade him straight up for Crosby.
