Very little interest Necas personally. Doesn't hurt at all because I think it's wrong. I think this was Ehlers not Necas.

Dylan Cozens does that better than he shoots. He shot 9% last year. I do agree with we were bad with zone entries and setting up offense but I think that is part granato being bad and part missing Jack Quinn. I think also without Skinner around, Buffalo might improve in that regard. Time will tell and am I not opposed to acquiring Zegras and think he would help regardless of his defensive issues.

Can I be honest? I have seen this a bunch and I do not believe it. Which guys are basically just shooters now that Skinner is gone? Tuch, Quinn, Tage all have multiple dimensions to their games. Peterka was a shooter last year so maybe him. Benson certainly is not just a shooter.

Quinn, Tuch, and Krebs are all currently in Buffalo. I think there are other guys here as well.

He's bad defensively. Hence a major reason I pushback so hard on any talk around here involving trading Jack Quinn for him. IMPO, Zegras has never really been a 2-way forward.

Trading Jack Quinn (which was a suggestion up thread) for Zegras would not make the Sabres better this season. In fact, I confidently say such a move would make Buffalo worse. Of course I don't think it would take Quinn to get Zegras but some combo of Wahlberg, 2025 1st, and a salary going back like Greenway or Jokiharju.

Or when they talk sports betting for an hour. Great, Mahomes passing tds line against the giants is 2.5... I don't need an 20 minutes about it.

Ziemer is one of those guys who's just always working. Hoping he develops into a middle 6 guy in 3-5 years.

UPL played very well last year. I think Levi needed Rochester and I expect him to start there this year. I think we may have a #1 goalie in UPL but I need another season like last year. A 4yr deal was my preferred with UPL so I hope he lives up to his deal. The fact the defense will be similar to last year while the forwards play a better 2way structure should help.

I'm not going worry about it. Levi and UPL will eventually split time but if UPL can even be league average it's a solid deal. If he runs the gsax numbers back, it's a great deal. Upl proved me wrong, I hope that continues cuz I like the guy.

This proves Adams does what his coach wants. Adams, impo, has few original ideas and instead defers do his coach.

Because the number of goalies who stay good for 5 full years isn't that high.
