Dahlin is literally signed for a full other season. This is like when ppl lost their minds because Levi went back to college. It is a none issue.

One thing I would note is that last year we had 1 player on defense over 25, we added 2 to our top 7 in the last little bit here. That's 3 guys who are a bit older in life, and in Erik's case, way more experienced in hockey than anyone else on the roster last season. Add to that Dahlin being what I would call a veteran now and the defensive core has really changed in a short period of time.

Sabres 7, 9, 13, 28, 34 picks stand out to me. I also think Power is better than Edvinsson. Detroit's issue is they are a full development year behind Buffalo. Next year they should be loading the lineup with 2-3 rookies.

I view Clifton as Power's partner and I'm not overly worried about him not being able to handle it. Looks like a perfect #4 next to Owen. It's interesting how many here view Samuelsson compared to Clifton. Samuelsson is probably a little overpaid and needs to continue developing.

It literally does not matter. Everyone keeps throwing this out in defense of Oloffson but he was a defensive sieve. His 28 goals were offset by -23 goals alone at even strength. So if Rousek can be a +/- 0 and score 5 goals, he is as useful as Olofsson. Olofsson can't play defense. Rousek can, I will take Rousek and his less of a shot over Olofsson's shot and almost nothing else.

Trading him is an upgrade. Again, Rousek for a full season gives us a better outcome than Olofsson.

I don't think pulling a goalie does much most times and in Buffalo's case pulling UPL for Comrie or vice versus just seems redundant. Neither were good.

I already consider Ratzlaff a better prospect.

When Marty Biron started really saying and analyzing the issues with UPLs game it really opened my eyes to exactly what his issues are.

I don't think they make it. I think Columbus has a better chance.
