  1. As we close the book on the 2023 draft for now, a little teaser of what is to come in 2024 since so many here really wanted Michkov. 2024 draft doesn't get interesting for me until January but Demidov is a name you should know.
  2. Well I do think Benson is better, we shouldn't forget how good Savoie is
  3. You know... I do kinda see the Datsyuk comparison. I am not at this time willing to make it but I do see it.
  4. Idk why anyone is worried at all. This is such a stupid waste of hand wringing nonsense that we see constantly and IT NEVER matters. Benson will sign when they get around to signing him or when he's back in town most likely. It doesn't matter.
  5. Welcome to Sabrespace! Come for the hockey but stay for the ppl stating easily disproven nonsense!
  6. Lmfao Hey kids! Don't score just get hits. what a master class in being wrong about size and what it means. Guess all those guys with more hits than Dahlin are better.
  7. No they didn't. Lol. I mean nothing written from the bold on here is factual.
  8. What does hits tell you? Also wait until you learn about how inconsistently league wide hits are awarded.
  9. Whats the point of even talking to you? You claim all this nonsense about how you gotta use your size and it helps you win and I show you that Dahlin and Power, 2 players you claim don't use their size, vastly outperform all these other big players you list and this is your response. What a waste of time and energy. Also the Sabres literally match up with EVERY SINGLE Kraken player except 1... I mean sure I guess that means we should be afraid of them or something. Actually I am not even clear what point you are making using Seattle. Mine was that 2 of our defenders almost singlehandedly outproduced 5 of theirs.
  10. I did and I gave you the exact dates we won. You're wrong. 2-8-2.
  11. No it isn't. They won on 3/4 against Tampa, they won on 3/13 against Toronto. They lost in ot and a shootout on 3/11 to the Rangers and 3/15 to the Caps. 2-8-2
  12. No they didn't. You didn't even get the math right. 2-8-2 and they lost 4 of those games by 1 goal or less. NARRATIVE harder in the face of them facts discountPA During the 8 game losing streak they lost all those games (except Vancouver) by 2 or more goals. Again, tell me about the "collapse" more, I love hearing about this event that didn't happen.
  13. Oh because I said Granato won at the lower levels and he didn't win at the NCAA level. Wow PA what a great technicality you found. I'm done with you. You are disingenuous poster who has no interest in actually talking about the team. Instead you come in here and do this and then act like you're the victim. It is a manipulative behavior and the best way to deal with someone like you is to stop interacting with them all together. Enjoy your misery business, I assume you are the Elon Musk of Pity Party Business.
  14. Keep moving them goalposts. How far will they go cha cha! Kevyn Adams added 2 players at the deadline. Those are facts. Other facts, the first game after the trade deadline was a 5-3 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning, a playoff team. Then there was a 3-2 loss to the Oilers followed by something more important than the trade deadline. That was the game against the NYI that was billed as a win and your are in, all the chips are pushed to the center of the table, game. The Sabres lost that 3-2. Then you get the embarrassment that was the Dallas 10-4 game. Followed by 3 more 1 goal games. So again, where is this collapse you speak of and how is it because of the trade deadline? That's right it wasn't. The only collapse happened in the immediate aftermath of the NYI game in which the players on the team literally said they took that loss to hard. But hey, these facts don't fit your narrative so you will discard them. You made a false claim and continue to make false claims because the team did not collapse after the trade deadline and you have yet to point out how going 9-3-1 is a collapse. In fact you ignore it again and again. What false claim do I make? Hmm? Move those goalposts PA. Move them again and again and again because unless the Sabres do things exactly how you want, when you want, you will just come in here and say it isn't good enough or they collapsed and when you get called on it, you pull this. Move them goalposts. @PASabreFan I want to make sure you see this.
  15. I think Novikov is the most underrated player in Buffalo's prospect pool currently. Kid is going to have a field day in the AHL after he gets up to speed.
  16. Hey PA, tell me more about the mythical Sabres collapse that didn't happen after the trade deadline in 2023 for the Sabres. I love hearing the story of the collapse, you know how a team that finished the season 9-3-1 collapsed because the GM did nothing at the deadline (only added Stillman and Greenway). Please, I would love to hear it. Glad we cleared that up.
  17. Sabres finished the season 9-3-1. I will refute this bs narrative wherever I see it. Buffalo didn't collapse or sputter down the stretch, they actually showed a lot of resilience and almost made the playoffs.
  18. USHL: Won the Clark Cup in 1996 ECHL: Won the Kelly Cup in 2000 AHL: Won Coach of the Year in 2001 USDP: Won 2 gold medals at U18 tourney 2014 and 2015 NCAA: was only there 1 year and you are right didn't win at that level any big awards NHL: Guess we shall have to wait and see. My point PA is that you are wrong. Straight up wrong. Outside of the NCAA and at the NHL level YET, Granato has won. But hey, you go right ahead and call him a "kiddie coach" just make sure you add the asterisk after that says *I don't like him because it isn't what I would have done and it isn't based on any merits or ability*
  19. And why did that happen.... OHHHH That's right because they played the NYI on March 7th in what was billed as a must win game and they lost. The team then put up what can only be described as a shockingly gutless and the worst performance of the year when they played Dallas 2 days later in a game that was pathetic. It wasn't the deadline, it was the loss to the NYI and you can go back and see players talk about how they basically mentally didn't handle that well. But again, since you need to check your notes again as you move goalposts, you claimed that the Sabres collapsed because Adams didn't help the team at the deadline. If the Sabres collapsed how come they finished the year 9-3-1?
  20. The defense that mattered has gotten better, Dahlin, Power, and Muel. The rest is filler and idk how anyone expects a coaching staff to make Bryson, PIlut, Fitgerald NHL regulars.
  21. Jack Quinn is just stunningly underrated around the league and even the fanbase (not saying you are). His two-way game is one of the best on the team and Jiri Kulich cannot say the same at his age. It would be pretty dicey expecting Kulich to match Quinn at 19 when Quinn was 21 and just more well rounded. Now Kulich at 21 v Quinn at 21... I could see Jiri getting up to the level in another couple years. On the Greenway thing, if he comes into camp healthy and in shape, I think he can help that line but there is just no way to fix the Olofsson slump that will come sometime. Once he stops scoring, he is just a weight for his linemates.
  22. What NHLPA action would they take? Honestly asking how the NHLPA would respond to a player in year 3 of his guaranteed 50million dollar deal coming in and saying "hey I feel undervalued and want you to..." what? And if the players don't like it they can sign elsewhere, file for arbitration, hold out, demand a trade. Also Tage and Cozens didn't necessarily take a forced discount, Adams signed them before their respective blow up seasons. Cozens was signed before his 68pt season and Tage signed before his 94pt season. Don't see how Adams demanded a home town discount on them.
  23. Eww gross. Mitts and VO together was one of the worst forward pairings in the entire NHL last year. They got caved in, like dropping a bowling ball on a cake. If Buffalo rolls out the following: Skinner - Tage - Tuch JJP - Cozens - Kulich Greenway - Mitts - Olofsson Zemgus - Krebs - Okposo ... then honestly I am not sure they deserve to be in the playoffs with that kind of management and coaching. That lineup puts weaknesses with weaknesses. Kulich being a rookie and needed to develop his 2way game with Cozens and JJP who need the same. Olofsson with no 2way game with Greenway who isn't a great passer. Poor Krebs just shutting down stuff again I suppose. At least he was effective in that role but those middle two lines really just make me sick when you have Rousek around and you can easily improve things by cutting Kulich, subbing Mitts there and replacing Mitts with Krebs on line 3 all while running Jost on the 4th line.
  24. I would 100% disagree on that being the defining reason why he isn't a top 10 center.
  25. 1 more interesting thing. If you add in Dumoulin's points from last year in Pitt and then all the points from the other guys last year (including Megna's 12pts even though he had 0 with the Kraken in only 6 games after being traded) that gives you 115 total points. Owen Power and Rasmus Dahlin alone get you 108pts. So great, Seattle has a lot of size, and none of it is as talented as Dahlin and Power even if you add up 5 players and don't bother thinking about Power as the rookie defender he was. 2 Sabres at 6'3" and 6'6" get you 108pts, 5 Kraken all 6"3' or taller get you 115 points.
