I think some of the xGF can be explained by being on a better team, Cirelli is still the better defensive forward but I think it is fair to at least talk about McLeod in the same sentence with Cirelli. That said, McLeod shot at 22.4% which is 8% higher than his career average. Unless McLeod ups his shots on goal per game, he is going to see a regression in scoring goals next year. Sam Reinhart doesn't run at 22% consistently as a shooter. Cayden Lindstrom, that's who McQueen reminds me of. I couldn't think of the player but that is my biggest worry right is that McQueen is Cayden Lindstrom. Lindstrom could have a great career, but he's a 6'4" C who has been injured for basically the last year and was injured the year before that too. You shouldn't be needing back surgery at 19. Idk if McQueen will be that but if I were an NHL team, I would be pouring over his medicals and talking to every expert I can find about it.

I don't think this is accurate. We know that Dahlin organized a group to come to Sweden and workout together for one. It could be that the offseason training related to stamina wasn't as good as needed but I think this scenario is just not happening.
