KO knew very early we didn’t have it - something was missing
LGR4GM replied to Second Line Center's topic in The Aud Club
Dude was one of the clowns behind the "we won't salute because they booed our coach" trash, which is the exact sort immature shenanigans that a team in the depths of a struggle didn't need. It was a useless distraction that this team fed into and leaned into. In fact Tuch even talked about it later in the season. -

Tuch proved to be immature. Imo -
He's about to be 23, how much more time you giving him? Why bother when you can get something now for him.

Goal Scoring. How Will Sabres Increase Number Of Goals Scored?
LGR4GM replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Faceoffs aren't getting you that many goals a year. You wanna talk about winning puck battles sure, but faceoffs are worth maybe 10 goals a season. -
He won't be available at 11.

Goal Scoring. How Will Sabres Increase Number Of Goals Scored?
LGR4GM replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Sabres were tied for 24th in goals for last season. At 5v5 they were 25th in HDCF% and HDCF. 21st in xGF and 23 in xGF%. They were 19th in CF and 16th in CF%. The Sabres don't generate enough offense to be a playoff team. They need major improvements in how they play hockey, coupled with new players who also play better than some of the trash we've seen. On the PP the Sabres were 29th in CF. 31st in xGF. 32nd in HDCF. Adams and Granato sat around and did nothing to fix this problem all season. Again, this team needs major changes and they aren't coming. -

They have to fundamentally change the entire way they play hockey. They are piss poor team in all advanced offensive metrics. If they can't, they'll be trash again. -
No one is sleeping on him.

Between Adams, Granato, and Okposo, all I got is this: -
I'd pull forechecking stats for them and go after as many as I can get.

Kevyn Adams is responsible. He let it happen. -

Adams and Granato are to blame. They did nothing, nothing. -
So you want the league to fold? Cuz the Sabres are the NHL development team.
-
Because Tuch was regurgitating Kevyn Adams excuses. The team bought the bs Adams and Granato were peddling.
-
What's the easiest, most unimaginative, straightforward option? Cuz that's who Adams will pick.

Whoever wrote this is silly. Buffalo drafting another lhd would be hilarious. Like, wtf does this even mean? "They’ve got some good young ones in Rasmus Dahlin and Owen Power, but adding a dynamic, two-way threat like Dickinson would be massive" ... Dickinson is good but if you draft him, you better be aggressively shopping Muel.

WGRs wall to wall to wall coverage of the NFL schedule release is some of the worst radio ever. It's truly the most boring conversation and they don't stfu about. It's been a week straight of this trash already. Garbage radio.

Again, doesn't mean these ppl cannot have success. They very well can be very good, but the underlying process is deeply flawed.
-
My pushback is not about this. My pushback is this is another sign that the underlying decision making processes of the Buffalo Sabres are faulty. They fired Granato because Ruff was available. They picked Ruff because he was Ruff, ties to the org and Adams. They deliberately left all the assistant coaches in place except for the one they needed to fire to bring up Appert. They brought up Appert because they already plan to put him in as HC in 2 years. They brought up his video guy because Appert likes his video guy. The process is not, let's take a good long hard look at ourselves and figure out our weaknesses. Then we will find the ppl who can correct those weaknesses and we will find the best ppl. It is, what's easiest for us that makes us comfortable. Now the outcome can still be good, but the process underlying it is broken and flawed.

He's 29, how good do you feel about his prime lasting for say, 6 years on a new deal?
