Bear, Carbonneau, O'Brien, Eklund are likely candidates at 8-10.

Any goalie you draft is 4-6yrs away except for the very rare exceptions. Jackson Smith is good. He's a left handed defender with really good skating and offense. I think his defensive game is ok, but not his strength. When you have a 25yr old Dahlin, you don't need a top defender so you can address defense later unless it's a must take. Buffalo has done that in recent drafts, although I might have taken one of the two last year. Still Helenius is good.

Good offensive talent but is getting buried defensively. It's an equation, offense + defense = quality. The time it isn't is when you're great at one or the other. He's either gotta play defense, or he's Olofsson version 2.

Again, there's just no proof this is true. One of buffalo's issues is players struggle in their age 22-25 seasons and Buffalo tosses them for the next shiny toy coming up. It's why you could trade Power, but only if the return is another massively talented player. Quinn and Peterka weren't rushed. Benson we could argue due to age but he's been holding his own. Power, idk if another year of college would help, a year in the ahl at this point seems superfluous. Tage is fine. Dahlin fine. That's pretty much it, everyone else we got older.
