Donald Trump and JD Vance's behavior in the televised "meeting" can only be described as pro putin and completely abhorrent. It was obvious to any impartial observers that the attack was planned and devised as a way to show "strength" from Trump. All it did was hasten the turn Europe, Canada, and much of the free world is making away from the United States. Further, Zelensky did not blow-up, Trump and Vance certainly did. Vance was shouting and scolding and Trump was defensive, frail, and weak. I was totally and completely disgusted by the attacking, childish, and otherwise dictatorial nature of that talk. Trump was not there to discuss things with a fellow leader of a country but was looking for someone else to swear fealty to himself. The attack was coordinated and used Russian fake news to attempt to paint President Zelensky as some type of ungrateful warmonger. Russia attacked Ukraine, Russia continues to occupy Ukrainian territory. Putin wants all the old Soviet States back under his control. Trump, has no issue with that. The proof for this is how a Russian reporter was allowed in, it was done to show support to Russia. Russia btw is a brutal dictatorship and probably within the next year, the US will be closer to that than the Democracy it is. Musk and Trump have taken CISA agents off looking at Russia and put them on China instead. They have also dismantled the CISA election security team. I would wonder why that is but the answer is quite obvious, they plan to control future elections. Trump is doing what Russia would like him to do. Putin wants the war to end on his terms so he can re-arm and launch his next assault, Moldova and the Balkans are likely the next targets although if the US withdraws from NATO (we are rapidly heading in that direction) the Russians may simply invade Poland probably under the pretext that they supported Ukraine attacking Russia. Zelensky was wise not to sign the deal with the US and considering he didn't actually blow up at Trump, we should give him a lot of credit. If Trump spoke to me that way, I certainly would not have stayed as calm as Zelensky. What we witnessed in that 7mins was nothing short of a shitshow. A complete and total failure of US diplomacy and a radical shift away from the free countries of the west, to snuggle up to Putin and Russia. The United States is a Russian client state now for lack of a better term. Trump wanted to show strength but came across as fragile, weak, and petty. His performance will be remembered as one of the most shameful and disgraceful displays by a US President in the modern era. The entire free world rejected Trumpism int he aftermath. In one, seven minute tirade, Trump effectively ended the United States as leader of the free world. I expect Russia and the US to sign a separate peace, for Putin to re-arm ASAP, and for the war to spread because Trump will decline to intervene as long as Putin pays him not to.
