Take a look at how NIH funding impacts your state: https://www.unitedformedicalresearch.org/nih-in-your-state/
-
Rough estimate is just over 1 billion dollars will now disappear from NY higher education. Universities can either reduce research which costs a lot of money, raise tuition, or find other funding streams if possible. Considering there's a project 2025 push to tax endowments by 21% we might be at the start of the compete collapse of research universities. For example the university at Buffalo, along with roswell Park, and children's hospital would be impacted by this. UB in particular could be forced to cut all kinds of support staff as well as SUNY might have to raise tuition. It will end up costing more than it will ever save but project 2025 is about destruction.

Ok, show the dataset that has that. Cuz I'd believe Kennedy about as far as I can kick him up Mt everest.

Great example of Elon Musk not understanding how research grants work and deliberately using the term "siphoning" while referencing a graphic he created, or his team. Admin would only be a fraction of indirect costs. But again, where's the money going. Heres more info. Harvard def is crappy and deserves less but it's a negotiated rate https://osp.finance.harvard.edu/fa-rate-agreements Just looked up UB, they run between 50 and 60%. The result of this will be students will pay more in tuition. https://www.buffalo.edu/research/research-services/ub-rates-and-facts/ub-and-rf-rates.html But wait, there's more: Source for this info: https://www.fiercebiotech.com/research/report-every-dollar-nih-research-funding-doubles-economic-returns Here's a good read up on the outcome and it's not cost savings: https://bsky.app/profile/drmikewiser.bsky.social/post/3lhogq6rlzu2c

GDT: Sabres @ Predators Feb 8, 2025 - 8:00PM, MSG 📺, WGR550 📻 🎙

The fact they had to figure that out after never making the playoffs speaks volumes to the lack of leadership from the players to the coaches to the GM. Immature children all around. -
He's lacking a sense of urgency because he's going to wait until youngsters are ready at 22-24yrs old. You're conflating things.
-
A museum exhibit isn't misuse of funds. And again, okay, they found money, where's it going now.
-
I bet Adams plan is to wait on 1 of Kleber, Strbak, Komarov, McCarthy. That gives him his tough stay at home right hander. He's not pro-active enough.
-
I mean, he definitely is getting salary relief on Ruff because the Devils can pay him.
-
Bryson is consistent and a perfect 7th D. I don't see many ppl scoring because he's 5'10" Again, size doesn't equal toughness or tenacity. Strbak, Novikov, Komarov are all big but also tough/ physical. I would prioritize the toughness part before the size part, but Jerry Forton won't, I'm sure of that. Nah, he'd be fine. He's played like 4 pro seasons at this point so he's just gonna keep trucking.
-
But where will that money now go? For those ppl not named Hank, I recommend you read up on wikileaks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiLeaks They've certainly done some good, but like everything, they deserve a level of skepticism. Note wikileaks and Wikipedia are not related.
-
And where will that money go. It's all great if you say "hey guys this is wasteful so we're not spending here" but if it just gets funneled into musk or trumps pet projects, it's just more of the same.
-
I mean the 6'6" defender we have doesn't "clear the crease"

What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?

2025 needs to just... take a nap. -
So is Marco Rossi

He's not one of the favored sons

Just had an argument with a group I'm in. They are all about downsizing government and Musk being in charge of it. When I pointed out that government isn't business, it got progressively more abusive towards me. I think it will be very bad going forward and a lot of people will cheer it on. By the time the long term consequences are felt, musk and trump and others will just deflect blame and enjoy their ill gotten gains.

No? He was under contract when he was fired wasn't he?

Have Dylan Cozens & Mattias Samuelsson been stripped of their “A”s
LGR4GM replied to inkman's topic in The Aud Club
No, Lindy is another yes man in the Pegula portfolio of yes men and his handling of the Tage incident, personally, makes me want him gone. -
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/secrecy-becoming-defining-characteristic-elon-musks-doge-rcna190966 DOGE is not a government agency. It is a trojan horse intent on taking over, and reshaping the government based on Elon Musk's desire to control it.

So... the writer of this just wrote a thing. I don't trust it as being accurate. That said, if he's healthy before the end of the season, trade or bench. I wouldn't jeopardize the buyout.

Adams is a soft lumpy squishy middle aged dad who can't handle the rigors of telling some of his kids to pack their ***** and get out. He's not a gm, he's everyone's buddy and that simply doesn't work. Fleece us? For Samuelsson? Hell, I'm hovering close to "future considerations" right for a guy who is literally only available 50% of the time. I think Buffalo should give Novikov a game in Muels place and see how much better that goes.

Remember that Doge wants to destroy NOAA so they can take what they do and privatize it for profit. It has 0 to do with corruption or government waste. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/feb/04/doge-noaa-headquarters Musk wants to destroy the government so he can profit. It's pretty simple.
