  1. My point is simple. None of you would mention his size being some hindrance if he was 6' 190lbs but are having issues cuz he's 5'11" 190lbs saying he's just like Östlund. Ik why, because dumb talking heads like Pronman are vomiting that out.
  2. And I was stating he's not magically small because he's 1" under 6ft as other players have been just fine at such a size... and he's 18.
  3. Yes he does. You're all just spelling his name wrong. https://www.eliteprospects.com/player/619102/vasili-zelenov
  4. Pavel Datsyuk was 5'11" and 190lbs. Something to think about.
  5. Don't hate him. Recognize his passing and shot are mediocre at the nhl level. He's replaceable and not a 3c
  6. Probably that every player you named is on their AHL team at least, so they can wait until the prospect challenge and focus on these guys. I'll say this, I expect Helenius to stand out in this group.
  7. It's development camp, complain about the NHL team in one of 50 other threads about them. Yes. It's working with fringe, new, and development players to help them learn and see where they are at. It's a good thing to do.
  8. Cuz Washington could have just matched and then you'd just have nothing but a 2nd round pick who will be here in 3-5 years
  9. Fill your hands, you son of a B
  10. Jordan Martinook is another 4th line guy who also is good defensively. 6' and only 31, played on Carolina for the past few seasons so knows good possession hockey.
  11. Yaakov Trenin is a 4th line Center that mildly interests me. 6'2" with okay defensive numbers and 27yrs old.
  12. I'm over it tbh. I wanted more out of trading that pick and we saw that around the league but at least this guy is absurdly gritty and tough. They need more though, in ufa or trade, they need more than 1 gritty tough guy.
  13. Biggest draft steals of round 1 FCHockey KYLE PEREIRA KONSTA HELENIUS, C, BUFFALO SABRES "Shades of Zach Benson, the Buffalo Sabres yet again drafted a player that was highly thought of but fell too far on draft day. Like Benson, Konsta Helenius could challenge for a roster spot right out of camp next fall, and will be given every opportunity to earn it. Helenius was FCHockey’s fifth-ranked prospect, sliding nine spots down from that spot. What makes him such a great prospect is his incredible intelligence and mature game. He plays a pro-style game already, having success against men in Finland already. But, unlike most labeled as a pro-style prospect, he does not lack dynamism." "I think his game without the puck has improved over the course of the season and he also does small but important things like screens, box outs, masks and loops for passes correctly and at the right times,” FCHockey scout Arttu Myllymaki said. “He is arguably one of the most talented players in the 2024 draft.” there's other listed and it's a good read
  14. If you mean a good 2way forward with say 25g and 35a, yes.
  15. The Capitals were terrible last year. Goes to show how easy just making the playoffs is.
  16. They got a 3c. They drafted Helenius... *ducks again*
  17. I'd call this a bunt for now.
  18. I can answer that. Height.
  19. So I didn't pay any attention to goalies this year but this guy was EPs #1. I find that interesting.
  20. Sabres average height 6'1" and average weight is 187 for this draft class.
  21. Don't be a short defender
