Lambert at Elite Prospects have Buffalo a B- and Utah a C grade for this trade. Reasons being Peterka's underlying numbers are bad and his shooting might have been lucky. Also he notes that Doans underlying metrics were great and he has some untapped potential coming.

Oh *****, you said the quiet part out loud. His secondary assist rate gave me pause. His sh% is probably only 1 or 2 goals over what it should be but he's gotta keep up the volume of shots. Is Peterka a 30g, 45a player with limited defense? Or is he a 25g, 30a player with limited defense? As I said before though, if you're trading Peterka, Adams better be right. I think this trade is missing a 2nd rounder. Again, more than half his assists are secondary. Peterka had 18primary and 23secondary Benson had 14primary and 4secondary while getting less toi. Just some food for thought.

Debatable. The only guy in the 1st round range who profiles in any way like Savoie we're not drafting so I wouldn't worry.
