I just can't see us winning many games with Tokarski in goal. The wheels coming off his game is inevitable. But they proved me wrong in Washington. -
I felt they were preparing to take Zegras over Caufield, but they were hoping Turcotte would slide. The fact Cozens slid instead caught them a bit of guard, but to their credit they pounced on LA's mistake.

Have you watched any? He sorta does. His answers aren't overly technical, but they aren't cliche either. He sounds like a hockey coach (Ralph didn't) but a pretty articulate and thoughtful one.

First off, those trades were posted to stir the pot, didn't put serious thought into any of them, not advocating any of them, not advocating trading Jack. But there was a theme: each one targets some of the other team's best players; and a point: if we are trading Jack, I want real quality coming back, not baskets full of lottery tickets. Which leads me to a serious question: If trades where the return includes players the calibre of Elias Petterson and Sasha Barkov are "terrible" what constitutes a "reasonable" return?

That is a potential upside to an Eichel for futures deal — the space it may create for other adds

I think I’m running out of gas now 🤪 But my point is, if we are going to trade Eichel can it be a hockey trade?
-
Eichel for Larkin, Raymond and Seider Eichel for Coutourier and Provorov
-
Eichel for Landeskog, Byrum and Newhook Eichel for Seth Jones and Boone Jenner
-
Eichel for Dach and Kane
-
Eichel for Barkov (signed) and Spencer Knight.
-
Eichel for Heiskanen and a first.
-
Eichel for Keller, Kuemper and Chycrun
-
Staying out west: Eichel and Rienhart for Petterson Boeser and Podkolzin
-
Also from @Brawndo’s list of callers: Eichel for Comtois, Zegras and John Gibson.
-
Lindholm played centre this year and could continue to do so. Eichel and Olofsson for Lindholm, Tkachuk, Pelletier and a pick gets my attention a helluvalot more than a bucketful of prospects.

Oh come on, you know he sucks. 😁🦇

Also, Chris Taylor seems like good dude, but the deification of him around here is kinda absurd. He has three years head coaching experience where he led a couple loaded Amerks teams to first-round knockouts, yet I bet half this board would be happy if he was named the new head coach.

If by came out you mean someone on the internet hypothesized.
-
He is.

The preferred team from that list is Florida. Assuming Barkov has an interest in signing here.

Somebody wants Granato to get the job.
-
Jack Eichel prefers Surgery on neck injury; done for the season.

The lack of flak Botterill gets for the Sabres troubles tells me he made the right friends. -
I have no opinion on the question that fuels this thread. But I strongly disagree with the idea Granato should not be head coach because we need an "experienced" head coach, and by experienced, I mean "a coach who has been fired by NHL teams at least twice." Don Granato has been a head coach for 14 years at the minor league level and an additional 5 years as head coach of the UNDTP. He's also been an NHL assistant coach for 4 years and is an NHL head coach right now. He is as experienced and his resume is just as impressive as Jon Cooper's, Mike Sullivan's or Bruce Cassidy's when they were hired to their current jobs, and they've all done all right for themselves. If the "experienced" guy is the be-all and end-all, why the hell has Gerard Gallant been fired before he completed his 3rd season three times? Just hire the right guy.

Can the Mittelstadt Line Continue as a 2nd Scoring Line Moving Forward?
dudacek replied to Taro T's topic in The Aud Club
It was too early last month to give up on Casey and Tage. It is is too early this month to decide we suddenly have a dangerous middle 6 going forward. These 6 guys have combined for 67 NHL goals in their careers. They've played an average of 81 games. I love how they're playing right now and I want them to play out the season the way they are being used. Ask me again in a month. -
Beniers is actually nearly two years younger than Turcotte —Nov 2002, Feb 2001
