  1. Oh Really?
  2. They really need to bring back the +1 feature...
  3. Here is the system we should be using: "The Eklund" - Complete BS, will not occur "The Stalker" - I've been hiding in a tree in Darcy's yard and I'm trying to read lips, but i think i understand what he was saying "The Twittershift" - I'm reporting a rumor that was originally a random fan proposal before being link to the player's agent and then the GM as a result of 10,000 retweets "The So-No-Richards" - I think the Boss's Daughter just blew our cover
  4. I've been saying it for years... He must be turned into a cyborg. It's the only way to keep us going.
  5. I'm just saying we need to save this thread for not the one week in the summer where there are other things to occupy our minds... ;) And I'd appreciate it if you'd stop calling me "it". I find that name to be dehumanizing. :)
  6. Chasing download count again?
  7. I hate it when I miss the fun.
  8. How do i report you for obscene content?!? Jason Pominville is the captain of this team. There is no room for your vulgar display of irrational thinking! Seriously though, consistancy is what cup winners need more than anything. Consistantly bringing the same game, EVERY NIGHT, from October to June. Jason Pominville brings that in spades, and with a year with the "C" under his belt, I think he will be more comfortable instilling that on the other guys in the room. Doan would be a nice captain, but we've been down the "assign the captaincy to the new seasoned vet" road before.
  9. Your completely wrong here, Ghost... The Doan contract would be $8/4/2/2. :P and the 8 would be $7M bonus, $1M salary.
  10. Just announced: Mumford and Sons at CMAC (Canandaigua) Tuesday August 7th. I will most certainly be there.
  11. I think most people try to compare it the other way though. Like it's better if your dump crap on the other team and they suffer for it or something. So I think your definition of "win" is the more widely accepted definition.
  12. :clapping: Bravo Sir...Bravo.
  13. I don't think you "win" the trade by your pieces being better than their pieces. You win the trade by your pieces helping your team more than the old pieces helped your team. I think we're winning because we traded a scratch for a 20-minute defensemen and a slow developing fwd for a starting center. I think the trade was a push for VAN on the defensive front since they traded a scratch for a scratch. The other side, they may still win if Kassian develops, because Cody was going nowhere in the organisation.
  14. That's the track I'm going with, SJ has $11M to sign 5 more forwards to just have a roster with exactly 20 players. They might be looking to move one of their bigger forward contracts. They only have one player on the roster below $2.5M. I think Clowe, Pavelski, and/or Stuart are the likely victims given the NMC/NTC/modifiedNTC situation with the big guns.
  15. I just get the feeling that the deal that will be made will involve "non-rumor" players. So not Ryan or Ott, but someone unexpected.
  16. Advanced Stats say otherwise... I have no actually data or theory to back up that statement.
  17. Leino-Hodgson-Kaleta is a decent shut-down line. I wouldn't mind starting the season with: Vanek-Roy-Pommer Foligno-Ennis-Stafford Leino-Hodgson-Kaleta Gerbe-Grigerenko-McCormick/Tropp Then let Grigs develop with lower minutes, and work him from 4 to 1 if Roy doesn't produce, but if Roy DOES produce, I trade the ###### out of him at the deadline for some significant assets from the 08-12 draft classes. But I'd still rather just trade Roy and one of our 9 d-men, and maybe some of next years picks.
  18. #2 line, Line with Pommer on it is by definition #1 line. ;)
  19. Random Guess/Going for the gold: Out Roy, Pysyck In Pavelski Burrish
  20. Key Buffalo Sabres Under age 25: Forwards: Under Contract: Hodgson* (22), Ennis* (22), Gerbe (24), Foligno (20), Adam (22), Armia* (19), Tropp (22) Prospects: Grigorenko*, Girgensons* Defensmen: Under Contract: Myers* (22), McNabb (21), Weber (24), Brennen (23) Prospects: Persson* (24), Pysyck* (20) * First Round Pick That's a nice new "core" and 7 first round picks 22-years-old or younger. I'm not sure about next year, there are still moves that need to be made, but two years from now this team has the potential to be something very very special. It is absolutely critical that we get a top veteran forward via trade or FA. Making the ECF next year would go a long way to helping develop the young players that will be on the roster next year (Ennis, Hodgson, Gerbe, Foligno, Tropp, Myers, Weber, and maybe McNabb and Grigorinko). We'll need to be good next year to help develop these guys into greatness after that. Like Edmonton going deep in 1983, the Wings in 1996, or the Pens in 2009.
  21. My complaint is that the Norris Trophy is now the "most popular defenseman who finished in the top 5 in points" trophy.

  23. What do you mean "no chance"? Ryan Callahan and Dustin Brown are totally coming back to upstate NY in July of 2014.
