He also has to take out ISIS with just his bare hands and his heart full of courage. It should only take 15 minutes or so, but once you factor in travel time it will be a bit longer.

He's probably just a Republican. They always seem to be the type to marry the first chick to give them a ######. (HJ - stupid filters)

It's possible but way less likely since he'll only be 31 in the last year of his contract.

I don't normally post here but I hate summer time. It's disgustingly hot and humid outside with no end in sight until October.
-
It's actually Eichel - O'Reilly - Okposo in that scenario. If O'Reilly is taking the draws and handling the 3rd forward of the other team when the other team has the puck then he's the center, and our franchise player is a glorified winger who is just listed as center to make people feel better. That's not the worry. The worry is he turns into Moulson as he hits his early 30's and we have a $6 million cap hit riding out his contract on the 4th line.

This is a good point. The shaved head with a goatee can turn some people away. It's a look that typically fits a guy who rebuilds motorcycles rather than upper management. If the weed and donuts don't do the trick you may want to change your look, at least until you land the promotion. That's what I do. Everytime I've ever interviewed for a job I've had a new haircut and a clean shave. After 6 months to a year of working there I go scruffy and push the limits of whatever dress code is in place. If I start applying for other jobs or promotions I go back to looking clean cut. It's all part of the game.

As long as they don't drug test at your job give it a shot. It wouldn't hurt to go with sodbuster's suggestion either and bring in donuts and coffee as well. As long as the munchies you'll no doubt have from your daily wake and bake session don't cause you to horde all the donuts for yourself and snap at people who try to grab one. That'll just make things worse.

Get high before work. And again at lunch. Your productivity and performance may suffer but the idiots in charge will see your transformed demeanor and that seems to be what they care about.

I'll be catching Slayer in Raleigh one week from today for the umpteenth time. Should be some friendly violent fun. It says the show starts at 6:30 pm. I just hope the opening acts take their time so the weather cools down some before they hit the stage. I f'n hate summer.

I'd seriously give it a shot. Reinhart needs to learn the center position and the best way to get him acclimated is to give him our best wingers. If he can't produce with those guys flanking him then it will be obvious that he needs to stay at wing and we'll have to hope Mittelstadt assumes the 3rd center spot in our future murderer's row.
-
I doubt we'll want someone with his talent centering the 4th line. At least one of them will be playing wing, most likely Mittelstadt or Reinhart.

Samson the Reinharted: What do you expect of him?
Drunkard replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
And he's all but guaranteed to get a good second contract no matter what. He could tear his ACL during the first practice, miss every game, and he'll still be in line for a significant pay raise over his ELC. He has talent, potential, and pedigree. Short of dying or getting his arms, legs, hands, or feet chopped off he's not going to have to worry about settling for a lowball offer. All it takes is his agent to get one damn team to float an offer sheet. -
We should put this theory to the test and put Reinhart at center while giving him both Kane and Okposo as his wingers and letting O'Reilly and Eichel get whomever is left (Pouliot, Pominville, Girgensons, etc.).

She might have sensitive teeth or something. That's the best guess I can think of.

What if trading Nylander allowed you to dump all 3 though? If we could dump all 3 of Moulson, Gorges, and Bogosian in exchange for Nylander that certainly tips the scales for me to where I'd seriously consider it.

I don't think he needs to worry too much about that. He's already earned/guaranteed close to $3 million just from his ELC, not even counting the added incentives, plus half his family has played professionally and I'd assume are wealthy (at least by regular people standards). I don't think he's worried that some freak injury is going to leave him panhandling with a cup in his hand. People seem to think they can lowball these guys and they'll bend to team friendly deals and it's not likely to happen. Winning teams that are challenging for the Cup can sometimes get away with lowballing their blue chip prospects on short term deals with the promise of playoff runs and the chance to win. We haven't made the playoffs in half a decade. Trying to make the case that he should take less to avoid risk and because Murray made the mistake of signing the aging Matt Moulson to a 5 year deal isn't a compelling reason for him to short change himself. -
2017-18 lineup prediction (the Original Lineup Thread)
Drunkard replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Let's hope. Re-signing Eichel, Reinhart, and Kane certainly would look a lot easier without having to account for $14 million in cap space going to these guys. Still it looks better than almost $19 million when we also had to include Ennis. Maybe Housley turns out to be some sort of defenseman whisperer (or turd polisher if you prefer) and he can mold Bogosian into a serviceable 2nd pairing guy. At that point things would be looking up and we'd have a chance to challenge in the East while Nylander and Mittelstadt are locked up for cheap money. -
We need to keep both and that should be the priority. If we're ever going to move Reinhart to center we're going to need quality wingers to play with these guys. Right now we have 3: Okposo, Kane, and Reinhart. Move Reinhart to center and lose Kane and all we're left with is Okposo and the hopes that Nylander and Mittelstadt not only pan out but develop quickly and start contributing. Or we have to hope that at least some of the guys like Girgensons, Bailey, and Baptiste are ready for permanent scoring line roles.

2017-18 lineup prediction (the Original Lineup Thread)

Exactly. How is Eichel the center in that situation if O'Reilly is taking all the draws and center coverage on defense? Eichel "plays" center only when we have the puck? Ovechkin carries the puck a lot on offense too. Does that make him a center when the Capitals have the puck? In this scenario O'Reilly is still actually the center and Eichel pretends to be the center in mock lineups to make us feel better or something. He did manage to move Ennis at least. That's 1/4 of the expensive dead weight. If he can move another one of them I'll be highly impressed. Wonder what it would cost to unload all 3 on a team like Vegas? Probably a guy like Nylander or Mittelstadt but it's conceivable a couple high picks could get it done. -

Then he's the center. It also means second prize in the tank is basically a winger as well kind of like that Reinhart guy. Awesome. -

O'Reilly isn't moving to wing. He's the most defensively responsible center we have so kicking him out to wing makes no sense whatsoever. -

More important than point totals I want to see him get some serious time at center. Give him a good winger like Kane and his spot centering the third line. If everything goes right, I could see him getting 25/35/60 but I'd rather see him score 45 points at center than 60 points on Eichel's wing. -
If he truly doesn't fit with O'Reilly or Eichel they should move Reinhart to 3rd line center and put Kane on his wing. Pittsburgh wins because of their depth and balance and by basically putting their 3 best forwards (Crosby, Malkin, and Kessel) on 3 separate lines. We should do the same with O'Reilly, Eichel, and Reinhart. We just need another good winger to pair with whichever one of O'Reilly or Eichel doesn't get Okposo until Nylander is ready.
-
I'll guess 31 goals and 42 assists for 73 points in 80 games played.

We just need guys who play for the crest on the front of the jersey instead of the name on the back, man. We need guys who are willing to skate through a brick wall for their coach and guys who are willing to go to war with our opponents. Captain America (Mr. Jack Eichel) just needs to motivate the troops and carry the team on his back to get us to the promised land. He hates to lose, you know. Time to pull ourselves up by the boot straps and work hard. The team just needs to the exemplify a blue collar work ethic and bring their lunch pails to work with them.
