$20 billion according to this article. http://observer.com/2017/07/netflix-debt-20-billion-info-details/
-
Without a doubt. I read some article a while back that said there were still something like 4 million dvd customers. I imagine the stream base is easily more than 10 times that, even when you factor in account sharing.
-
They still offer their dvd's through the mail. I know because I still subscribe to it. Their DVD library is massive and far surpasses everything available for streaming. Although I mostly only use it to rip copies of shows that I was previously burning to DVD before streaming became the new thing.

Where will Jack Eichel be ranked in overall scoring 2017/2018
Drunkard replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
I don't think there's anything wrong with the stretch pass if the opportunity is there and someone is open. The problems arise when possession changes and everyone (on the newly offensive team) without the puck streaks towards the opponent's blue line and just stands there. Then there's no one open to make the long pass to, especially since very few of our defensemen seemed capable of completing a long pass. The bigger problem with DB's system was the heavy reliance on the dump and chase. He seemed to value forcing the defenseman to turn around more than maintaining possession of the puck. The dump and chase can be effective when you enter the zone with speed but combining his stretch pass with the preference for dump and chase ensured that most of our puck retrievers/forecheckers/chasers were caught flat footed at the opponents blue line whenever the puck got dumped. I think they greatly reducers the chances of puck retrieval. -
Everything Sabres Uniform Related - Royal Blue Please!

Also, they still haven't gotten rid of the silver. There may not be piping all over it but you can see by the circle around the crest and the stripes on the sleeves that they are still keeping gray as a color. Idiots. -

I don't like the multi-colored collar either. At least on the home (dark) jerseys the gold part seems to match the rest of the gold coloring though. One the road (white) jerseys the gold part of the collar doesn't even seem to match the rest of the gold coloring of the jersey. It looks like a freaking yellow highlighter. I'd say it could be due to the photo/camera quality, but it's obvious that the white jersey color doesn't match while the dark jersey collar does. I don't really care for the lace up collar either, but that's more of a personal preference than just a complete screw up by their incompetent design team. -
Nothing except the fact that the price I pay to Netflix doesn't go up every year the way cable and satellite seems to. The only time the price of Netflix has changed (for me at least) is when I adjusted my plan to stream up to 4 devices simultaneously. The only difference is they offer a far better value. Even under an a la carte system, you're still paying for content you don't watch. HBO is a good example. Some people pay for HBO to watch Game of Thrones or re-runs of the Sopranos and they may never watch other programs available like Six Feet Under, various Stand Up Comedy specials, or shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm. If you think it's worth the price you'll continue to pay and if you don't think it's worth it, you'll cancel service. Just because Netflix won't be paying for Disney content soon doesn't mean they'll drop their prices. They'll likely use those funds to purchase other content or (even more likely) use it to fund more original content (some that you may watch, some that will be targeted to a different demographic).

Ranking the Sabres: who are our most valuable assets?
Drunkard replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Damn, I completely forgot about Nylander since there was so much discussion about our future lord and savior, Casey Mittelstadt. I'd venture that Nylander holds substantially more trade value than Scandella, but I'll stick with my vote because he'll be helping the Sabres this season while Nylander will likely spend most of his time in Rochester. I think the vote will be close though. We'll see. -
No one is forcing you to pay. Netflix has lists of their available content as well as the price they charge for it, plus they offer a free trial. If you don't feel like it's worth it, then cancel your service. I'd venture it's nearly impossible to watch everything in their streaming library so everyone is paying some for some stuff they are watching and some for stuff they don't watch.

Going with Scandella this time. He was good in Minnesota and I'm looking forward to see if he can improve under Housley. -
Where will Jack Eichel be ranked in overall scoring 2017/2018
Drunkard replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Top scorer, no question, and anyone who says otherwise is just a negative Nancy. Even McDavid, Crosby, and Kane will line up to wash his balls. He'll put up numbers that will put Gretzky to shame in the golden age of scoring. No one will come close to the greatness of Eichel until Mittelstadt enters the league and easily outscores him while curing AIDS in his free time. He'll then simultaneously be named King of America and Pope at the same time (despite not even being Catholic) and then he'll vanquish Kim Jong Un, Putin, and ISIS with a simple deke and slapshot. And that's just one deke and slapshot to defeat all 3. They don't deserve to each get their own. -
Yes, but with Watkins being made of glass he's had to play #1 far too often. Hopefully Boldin doesn't find himself in the same boat.
-
Boldin is a good replacement for Robert Woods. Unfortunately just like Robert Woods he'll probably be further up on the depth chart than he should be.
-
I think it's basically because we have nothing else on the left side except Kane, the rapidly aging Moulson, and question marks like Nylander and the other young guys like Bailey, Baptiste, and Fasching who may not even keep spots on the big club to start the season. The other alternative is shifting centers like Larsson and Girgensons over to wing which has gotten mixed results at best so far. Kane is without a doubt our most talented LW at the moment but in order to balance the top 3 lines there's a good chance he gets placed lower in order to distribute our talent more evenly. We lost 3 LW's in the offseason in Ennis, Foligno, and Carrier so until we see how Housley sets his lines it's all kind of a question mark.

Lucy Lawless is the main villain in Ash vs Evil Dead. Her and Bruce Campbell go back to the old Hercules and Xena shows. -

I watch Titus through the youtube app on roku. I think they have every full episode you just might have to hunt around to watch them in order. -
Not to mention they could offer sheet him something ridiculous like a 4 year offer for max money. Sure we can match it and keep him, but then we're paying him 20% of the cap (or something like that) and he's a UFA at the end of the contract. I don't think it would happen, but it is a possibility.

Ha ha! It's never lupus. That's why he kept a stash of pills in the bored out pages of the lupus section of that medical book! -

Fair enough. I never watched the show when it aired then discovered it on Netflix. I watched the entire series from start to finish in about a month and then put it on as background noise at random times and I always found myself going back to season 4. When they removed it from Netflix I was pissed. Luckily my girlfriend bought me the box set. I'd bet my bottom dollar the one of the discs for season 4 is in the bluray player in our bedroom right now. -

So what's your cutoff on House? The last season or two (when he went to prison and after that) are probably my two least favorite seasons, but I think season 4 is my favorite season (after he fired Chase and both Foreman and Cameron quit) so he turned the hiring process into a competition. I should have added Archer to my list though as well as GLOW under the new section. -

It's all subjective. Personally I think they are all good characters, but Frank is the best by far, even though my favorite episode is Sweet Dee is dating a retarded person with the whole Day Man/Night Man songs by Charlie. -

You're in for a treat. It's Always Sunny gets infinitely better in Season 2 when Danny DeVito joins the cast as Frank. He's the best character on that show. -

I just started watching this last night. Pretty damn good so far. -
As already stated it's likely they pushed for a 1 year deal because he'll still be an RFA after the contract finishes. This gives us time to evaluate his performance in the new system, plus it gives us a chance to see where we stand financially (hopefully Eichel, Reinhart, and Kane get extensions set before they re-sign Lehner) so we have a better idea of how much money and cap space we have to work with. It also gives him another year to fix his shootout issues. If he continues to completely suck in shootouts there's a chance he causes us to miss a playoff berth and that could impact their desire to re-sign him as well as the value of his next contract.
