So that's what Louie Anderson did before he became a comedian.

The Redskins took RG3 in the first and Cousins in the 3rd (I think) in the same year.

You can tell if eclipse glasses are fake by how dark they are. My girlfriend ordered some from Amazon last week and I tested them the day they came in. If they are good you can good outside, put them on, and look directly at the sun and you won't have to squint whatsoever. Everything except the sun will be dark as too. Like walking in the dark after your eye adjust.

Last day of work until August 28th for me. Hopping on a plane Monday to break my Vegas cherry and I'm stoked. Should be fun.

I'm not sure if they had patches but I remember Richard Cheese selling shirts that said I heart Dick Cheese. If they sell patches you should get one of those.

Yep. We calls those people tourist in the world of raping and pillaging. You can't just dip a toe into the world of cannibalism. It's kind of a binary thing (all or nothing), but maybe that's just me. It helps living in NC. Southern people just tend to be fatter, but it makes for a juicier baby so I can't complain.

You're not suppose to microwave babies .......... it makes the skin too soggy. Deep fried or grilled results in that crispy skin that makes the pillaging far more satisfying.

2017-18 lineup prediction (the Original Lineup Thread)
Drunkard replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
2nd pairing? Do you think he's a dark horse to beat out Scandella or McCabe? I guess it's possible but I hope you're wrong too. I think he's bottom pairing at best and hopefully either an injury replacement as the 7th D or leading the charge in Rochester. -
Some kid who plays defense that wanted an American player maybe? People who don't want to add to the sea of #15 jerseys? I have no idea how many but I'm sure there are some out there. He was a relatively high pick (2nd rounder) and had some success for the national team and he's been solid so far so I'm guessing there are some people who are unhappy with the number swap, even though like I said there are probably way more people who own Pominville jerseys who are stoked about it.

If our team will be weaker on opening day wouldn't that mean the NPV is negative and it's the future value (FV) that's positive?
-
I agree it's not rational, but neither is being a sports fan. If everyone was completely rational nobody would waste their time and money to watch other grown men play a game and give each other brain damage. None of us would be wasting countless hours on this message board discussing and analyzing things either, especially considering it's the offseason. For the record I've never owned a football jersey (I just don't like the way they fit) and I own 4 Sabres jerseys (a Rob Ray, 2 Blank Goatheads, and a throwback Drunkard one).
-
Damn, you really think it would happen that soon? Don't forget that a team can buyout a player's contract for only 1/3 the amount due if they are under 26 (we did this with Cy Hgsn) so if he's motivated by greed like you seem to think there's still a big incentive for him to perform until that time at least. Or are you assuming he demands that his contract be buyout proof similar to O'Reilly with the bulk of it coming in signing bonus form?
-
It sucks for any fan that shelled out big bucks for a McCabe #29 Jersey. On the plus side there are probably way more people with Pominville jerseys in their closets.

This is where we differ. I've reached the point where I'm no longer giving them the benefit of the doubt. Not only is their track record dog through 2 owners and countless GM's and Head Coaches but they continually make head scratching decisions that don't seem to align with trying to win, whether it's hiring Rex Ryan to sell tickets, keeping Russ Brandon, giving too much power to a first time head coach, pumping up his non-football related qualities, trading one of their most talented players, and letting another one walk for nothing.
-
So when we trade our 1st or 2nd most talented player (depending on how you view Watkins vs McCoy) a month before the season starts we're not supposed to be negative? That's not how message boards work. They're mostly negative when a team is bad and mostly positive when a team is good. We've been bad for almost two decades now. Trying to be artificially positive may make the message board more enjoyable to read for some but it doesn't make for a good discussion. Message boards are at their best when all sides enter the discussion and make their points.

Love'em or hate'em, they are my favorite team. I want them to do well even though I don't expect them do. I'm not going to let my fandom convince me that the questionable moves they've made were good decisions though. I did that enough during the first 16 or so years of the playoff drought. I'll need to see the team make progress to actually believe it.
-
Just wait until we auction McCoy off for scraps and then use our plethora of picks in 2018 to trade up for a RB. That's gonna be sweeeet.
-
On the bright side we also got older by swapping out Robert Woods for Aquan Boldin. WRs age like fine wine, right?

Everything Sabres Uniform Related - Royal Blue Please!
Drunkard replied to CallawaySabres's topic in The Aud Club
I guess that could be the case. Or the Sabres screwed it up. Which scenario do you think is more likely? Especially given that they already screwed up the jersey by only removing some of the stupid gray portions while having multi-colored collars to begin with. -
Of course they did. The Bills are the best, most well run organization ever. McDermott was the coup of the century and totally deserved to choose his own GM. Only the best run organizations let rookie head coaches pick their own boss. Winning is not only likely, it's inevitable. Belichick is shaking in his boots at the mere thought of going up against his holy gingerness. I know Gilmore is trembling at the thought of having to cover Matthews and Brady is crying himself to sleep at the mere thought of having to even throw the football while EJ Gimpy Foot Gaines is on the field.
-
It's entirely possible that Matthews could be more productive than Watkins given his gimpy foot. Gaines has the same gimpy foot issue that Watkins has though so it's also possible that Gaines misses significant time as well.
-
I understand your position, I just disagree. Gaines may prove to be equal to or better than Darby, but that's irrelevant to me because Gaines wasn't traded for Darby. Even if Gaines was better than Darby he would have to be so much better that it offsets the downgrade from Watkins to Matthews. The most likely outcome is an overall downgrade for the 2017 season. For a team that hasn't made the playoffs since Bill Clinton was in office, it's not a good look for the organization.
-
That's was he's speculated. Matthews is motivated purely by money which is why he went Euro instead of college before his draft year. He'll continue to be a stud until he gets that long term deal for big money and then once he's cashed in he'll mail it in and start to coast and his numbers will decline. I don't think he's posted future stats or stat ranges, just that once Matthews signs his big contract that he'll lose motivation and then his production will drop.
-
Sure thing, man. The Rams and Eagles were both willing to give up draft picks in these one for one player swaps because they thought they were each getting the lesser player. It's so nice of them to do that to help Buffalo. How altruistic of them both.
