  1. You're a bigger fan than I am. I wouldn't subject myself to that for these bums.
  2. Harsh, but fair. I'm guessing the cost of getting out of Okposo's contract involves one of the trough urinals at the Ralph, right? So who volunteers to jump on that grenade for the team? Any takers?
  3. I was thinking the exact same thing. Time to fire up the tanks and find a way to fall below Phoenix. The tank is back on!
  4. He never said that. That was Lgr4GM initially and the meme just spread like wildfire here on the board. He supposedly did call Mrs. Pegula a ###### (See You Next Tuesday) though so even if he didn't actually say the quote, he seemed to live by it. With nuts that big, I'm surprised he could even sit down without hurting himself.
  5. Well duh. Look at the cream puffs they get to practice against. In games they have to go against professionals.
  6. Time for you to start rooting for Boston so they can crash and burn in every sport then. C'mon. Do it!
  7. He was great at being pithy. I liked his no bs demeanor. Oh and he supposedly called Mrs. Pegula a . Unfortunately for us, the anti-Darcy will probably be remembered for over paying on trades and squandering the stockpile of picks the were accumulated through the tanking/selloff process.
  8. I was just about to mention this. How people can pine for Alex Smith in one breath and complain that Tyrod Taylor can't complete passes to the great Zay Jones and a hobbled Kelvin Benjamin in the next breath causes complete cognitive dissonance in my head. I think the Bills should draft whichever QB they like that falls to them and let the guy learn behind Taylor. I also think they should fire the OC and bring in someone who isn't a complete moron.
  9. I'm not sure you can call it a green burial if they use embalming chemicals. Depending on the state though I think you have to get the body embalmed in order to have a viewing/wake whatever with the body present. I should probably ask my older brother since he's a funeral director. He was originally licensed in New York and now works and lives in NC. I plan on getting cremated. If I die before my better half she's going to get some of my ashes put into some sort of trinket she can wear or display (I can't remember). If she goes first I'm just gonna tell whomever takes care of it to throw my ashes in my back yard.
  10. It's like 51 degrees where I'm at now and it's supposed to approach 70 later this week after hitting single digits a few times during our week of actual winter. Such a bummer.
  11. I'd take Lindy Ruff back in a heartbeat but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.
  12. Well put. I'm happy the drought is over, but I don't find myself nearly as excited as I would have been 5 or 10 years ago. It's like all the years of losing deadened my heart/fandom (like tanking did for the Sabres even though I agreed with the strategy). I did yell when Dalton threw the touchdown though. Overall it's probably better because the losses don't really hurt anymore, but the wins don't move the needle as much as they used to either.
  13. They did win the coin flip or whatever it was against Vancouver that gave us Perreault back in 1970.
  14. Same here. A goal that defeats the Massholes is worth more than one that defeats Nashville.
  15. That's insane. You could get a 60 inch uhd tv, a keg of beer, a dozen pizzas, 100 wings, and watch it at home with friends for cheaper and still have a few hundred bucks left over.
  16. We got 4-6 inches yesterday evening through early this morning and half of the town is shut down. The best part is I already got an alert that the base will be closed tomorrow for all but essential services. 21 total hours of paid administrative leave (5 hours Wednesday, all day Thursday and Friday). I love it when it snows down south.
  17. This. The Jags are no world beaters and neither are the Bills. I'm just going to enjoy it. They're in the playoffs for the first time in 17 years and they're facing an opponent that they are capable of beating if the lines show up and Taylor has a good game. We just have to hope McCoy is healthy enough to be productive.
  18. If the Sabres really try to lowball Reinhart with a $2 million offer I'm sure he'll have no problem soliciting an offer sheet from some team. They can offer him up to $3.925 million and all they'd have to give the Sabres (if they don't match) is a 2nd round pick. That would be monumentally stupid of the Sabres, even worse than the Bills low balling Gillislee and allowing the cheating Massholes to poach him for peanuts all because they wanted to save a few bucks. If the Bills had kept Gilleslee maybe we wouldn't have to see Tolbert get the ball so much in bad situations.
  19. Fat chance of that happening. The Vegas owners paid the other NHL owners $500 million for the privilege of poaching the rosters of other teams and the Seattle owners upped the ante and paid $650 million. If anything they're going to want the expansion draft rules tilted even more in their favor and if the league has any ideas of expanding beyond 32 they'd be smart to allow it so they can soak the next franchise owners for $800 million each.
  20. Not a single flake on the ground yet but it looks like we'll be closing up shop at 1100 and (at this point at least) we won't be coming back in until Friday. The best benefit of southern snow IMO. Most people can't drive in it and we don't have enough plows or salt trucks to treat the roads so in order to save lives they effectively shut down the town. Snow day and a half, maybe even 2 and a half.
  21. I don't think he'll take an offer that low. $2 million is what 20 point guys earn and even in this crappy season he's already on pace for that much and will likely improve in the second half rather than treading water or regressing further.
  22. I'm not sure about that, but I'm definitely no salary cap/CBA expert. Spotrac says his current contract is 3 years/$10.725 million but the bulk of that is from incentives he never actually earned and I don't believe those factor into a qualifying offer. According to Cap Friendly his qualifying offer needs to be 105% of his base salary ($832,500), which would put it just under $875,000. https://www.capfriendly.com/qualifying-offer-calculator
  23. I hope not. I've been an Ullmark fan since his first post draft season, but he needs to stay in Rochester for their playoff run.
  24. Exactly. They should not be looking to trade Reinhart right now whatsoever. They should sign him to a short term bridge deal (that still leaves him as an RFA with one season remaining) and hope he regains form. Reinhart's value right now isn't great but imagine a 50 point Reinhart locked up for 3 years at only $3 million per year. I imagine that Reinhart would be worth a lot more.
  25. A friend of mine said the same thing. I still think it was a boneheaded decision but even back when it happened I predicted that Taylor would play better once he got another chance. 6 TDs (2 rushing and 4 passing, plus a couple that should have counted that got overturned) against only 2 turnovers since he's been back under center. Either way it's a complete travesty that half the fan base wants him gone just so the Bills can hand the reigns to one of the handful of QBs they want us to draft next year. It just boggles the mind. And for the record, I'm still fine with them drafting a QB. I just don't want the rookie playing until he can beat out Taylor in a QB competition and I think it's highly unlikely that any rookie would.
