I can still do more pull ups than our lord and savior Casey Mittelstadt (pbuh), so I've got that going for me too.
-
Sound right. It works too. I have the body of a god after all. Who cares if it's buddha?
-
Then it's a 10 ounce curl, then 8, and so on, until you begin a new 12 ounce set with a fresh can.
-
12 ounce curls is a workout.

Should we all try to jump through high rise windows in solidarity with Zay Jones?
-
I have full faith in our lord and savior to absolutely kill it for us, but I can agree with this. I expect at least 1 point per game even if he gets saddled with Pominville's corpse and Larsson for line mates and if he doesn't, he's dead to me. You hear that Casey?! You'll be dead to me!!!!! (cries into pillow).
-
I do the same, only I pass out bath salts to the guys in orange jumpsuits who are picking up trash on the side of the highway. Helps to break up the monotony for inmates and guards alike. Plus it helps me feel like I'm doing my part.

Forwards Next Year - Status Quo or Major Overhaul?
Drunkard replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Personally, I'd just eat the contracts of Moulson and Pominville next season. It's not like we're going to go crazy in free agency this offseason anyway so their cap hits aren't going to hurt too badly and after next season we'll be done with both rather than buying them out and having their cap hits extend into the 2019-2020 season. -
The circumstantial evidence continues to mount.

Congrats. Don't risk burnout by stretching yourself too thin though. A new full time gig is the perfect time to re-align your priorities and start to cut down on the side projects that are either too time consuming, annoying, or don't pay enough to justify taking time away from things that actually pay the bills.
-
Even if they do re-sign him, we won't get their first until 2019 and since that pick will probably in the 20-31 range it will probably be closer to 5 years before he even puts on a blue and gold sweater.

I quoted an article about the trade in a later post. I never said Beane just shows up to work and plays solitaire on his laptop, I said McDermott is calling the shots and I assume he gives his blessing before big decisions are made. McDermott didn't know where or how much but after pow-wowing with Beane over the summer it seems to me like McDermott gave his blessing to trade the guy (like a boss making the big decision) and Beane did the leg work (like the grunt he probably is).
-
This article says otherwise, but it also infers that Beane and McDermott had already had numerous discussions about trading Watkins over the summer before he was traded during the preseason. I'd venture to guess that McDermott told Beane he was ready to move Watkins and Beane found the dance partner and made the deal. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/8/16/16143096/brandon-beane-sammy-watkins-sean-mcdermott-trade-los-angeles-rams

I don't think anybody flat out stated it, but they hired the Head Coach first, when it was already rumored that Whaley was a dead man walking. It was also well reported that McDermott's finger prints were all over the draft that year, not Whaley's. This USA today article infers that McDermott had "a lot of juice" and that Beane was McDermott's guy even though the other GMs they interviewed had more of a track record as talent evaluators (which I assume is a significant portion of the job). https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2017/05/09/brandon-beane-hired-gm-buffalo-bills-sean-mcdermott/101488602/ You're welcome to put me on ignore then, because I'm going to continue to post my feelings on the matter.

They let McDermott pick his own GM. A privilege usually reserved for proven (Super Bowl) winning coaches like Belichick and Shanahan. That tells me it's McDermott's rodeo and he's the one making the decisions.
-
You can eye roll if you want but McGinger is definitely the one calling the shots. If you disagree ask yourself this. Is there any chance that McDermott gets fired before Beane? Do you think Beane even has the authority to fire him if he wanted to?
-
His real boss, Sean McDermott.
-
In his defense he probably doesn't know yet because his ginger boss hasn't told him yet.

Indeed it is. Unfortunately I don't have a choice at work because IT has disabled the ability to download any software or programs. As a side note, I've removed the   from the quotes and it's showing me that I've quoted N S and the time stamp of your post, but once I hit Add Reply I believe it's going to remove that part and show that I quoted someone without saying who or when.

Fair enough. I find how honest they were about it kind of refreshing personally, but I can see your side of it from a honor stand point. That doesn't mean Chicago and Pittsburgh didn't tank for their high picks (sans Crosby) though. In theory they should have been firing the GM's and coaches once they proved to not be up to the task so one could argue that refusing to do so is the same thing as trying to lose and jettisoning veterans. That means it's entirely possible they tanked just like we did only they did it more stealthily. I'll give you that the Pens didn't tank for Crosby, but they certainly tanked for Lemieux. Here's a link to an article about it. They traded players, sent guys down, and lost games on purpose. I fail to see how that is any more honorable than what the Sabres did. https://hockey-graphs.com/2015/04/03/nhl-tanking-toronto-edmonton-arizona-pittsburgh-penguins/

I'm on Internet Explorer 11 because Uncle Sam's IT Department doesn't trust me or anyone else I work with to download or use a better browser like Chrome or Firefox, so I'm guessing that must be it. I have noticed that even when other posters quote posts that it doesn't seem to name who is being quoted anymore though, so maybe it's not just me and my antiquated browser. Either way, thanks for looking at it.

I said cups first. I'm fine with getting plenty of cusps as long as it results in a few CUPS as well. All that means is we're a serious contender every year. We can't win it all every year. The Penguins did tank to get Lemieux though. They sent a hot goalie down to the minors because he won too many games for them as they were heading down the home stretch and they were worried they wouldn't get Lemieux so they shipped him out. You don't get more tanky than that. I also fail to see the big distinction between the two. Why does losing due to incompetence or cheap ownership get a pat on the head but realizing the team overall needs better talent to compete worthy of such disdain?

Lately every time I try to quote a post it carpet bombs that quote with the following characters: If I leave them in, they appear in the quote as if they were typed in, so I've been going in and manually deleting them. The problem with this is then it removes the name of the poster I'm quoting. What gives? Is this some kind of html issue? Do I need to adjust my settings. I should note that this only happens when I post from a computer. I don't seem to have the issue when I read/post from my phone. amp;nbsp; This is me quoting my own post and leaving the carpet bombs in.

Tainted Stanley Cups count the same as real ones, so I'm fine with a bunch of them and plenty of cusps to go with them.

I agree. I think it was completely irresponsible. I wonder if squeaking into the playoffs last year has made them either overly confident in their own abilities (delusions of grandeur) or just unafraid to make mistakes because ending the draught has probably bought them an incredibly long leash. With that monkey off their backs they don't have to fear being fired anytime soon and it's a little bit like playing with house money.
