Mittelstadt Signed ELC with Sabres reports directly to Buffalo
Drunkard replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Do you know how I know that you're gay? Because your dick tastes like . -
I disagree. His 3 best seasons (production wise) were the 3 seasons after Briere and Drury had already left. Derek Roy produced just fine taking on the opponent's top defenders. The bigger issue was once Connolly and Roy got bumped up to the top 6 we had nobody behind them to step into the roles they vacated once they got moved up the depth chart.

Nope. I just don't like him. There's probably 100 or more people on my die in a fire wish list ahead of him though. Mostly athletes/coaches/owners who play for Boston teams though, along with Miami and the Dallas Cowboys. A few politicians and other celebrities and public figures as well, along with a just a couple of people I've met in real life, in addition to the idiots on the open road who don't know how to drive. I used to wish for them to get ass cancer or aids but too many people got a stick up their butt about that turn of phrase so hoping for them to die in a fire is actually me being nice. You're welcome, Sabrespace.

Offer him a 3 year bridge deal (around $12 million total) that leaves him an RFA at the end of it and keep him as a RW in the top 6 unless we have a ton of injuries at the center position. Keep him paired with O'Reilly or Eichel and find some more wingers for our adequate center depth to play with.

Good. Leave them out in the open to let the other tourists know what's coming.

We should never have to retain on O'Reilly's contract. It was a 7 year $52.5 million deal but they've already paid him $20 million in 2 seasons. After July 1st, they will have paid him another $7.5 million, so he'll only have $25 million left to pay with 5 full seasons left on his deal. If/when they do wish to trade him, all the budget teams will be happy to get him on July 2nd once his bonus is paid and then they'll only be on the hook for his $1 million salary that season. Instead of retaining on his contract they just need to trade him on/after July 2nd of whatever year they decide to trade him. I would definitely hold onto him for the 2018-2019 season at a minimum though. I'd rather have Eichel and Lord Casey (pbuh) focus on putting the puck in the net while O'Reilly carries the load defensively. After that it would depend on what the offers are, and how Mittelstadt looks at center. If they do plan to trade him in a year or two they should go ahead and ride O'Reilly into the dirt though. For one we won't have to worry about his body breaking down as he ages since that will be the problem of the team who gets him, but also because all that ice time will help keep his production higher than it would be if he had more reasonable minutes so it should increase his trade value.

He doesn't need any appreciation from me. He gets enough ball washing from others here and in the media. I hope he dies in a fire.

I figured. It's more than just the way he plays the game though, it his position. Similar to trying to equate the scoring production of forwards vs defensemen in hockey. In reality, I just hate Lebron James so I don't want to give him any credit whatsoever.
-
I haven't watched basketball since Patrick Ewing and John Starks still played for the Knicks (90's) but that's definitely cherry picking. Jordan and Kobe were guards so they are never going to get a bunch of rebounds where Lebron is a power forward (I think) so he's much more likely to be in position to get more rebounds. That being said I don't like any of them so I don't really have a horse in the race.

Wow. You seem to have done a complete 180 on Allen. I wish I had your optimism and I hope you're right about him. I probably would have stayed at 12 and taken Rosen if he was still on the board. Then again I would've kept Taylor too so I wouldn't have been up against the wall the way Buffalo was. After ditching Taylor they pretty much had to move up and draft their QB though. I'd trade up too if I found myself staring down a depth chart with just AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman on it.

I'm certainly not on any high horse. I don't even know what he said and don't really care. I'm not personally offended by it because: A: I don't even know what he said. B: I don't get offended easily in general I'm just saying that the odds are really good that at least one of his 50 to 80 team mates is bound to not be happy about it. The law of averages practically guarantees it, even if the person or people who didn't like it keep it to themselves.

Definitely sarcasm. A football team has anywhere from 53 players on the final roster to 75 or 80 players in training camp. To imagine that not a single one of them isn't going to take issue with him is foolish. Now that doesn't mean it's going to lead to a divided locker room and tear apart the team or anything like that, but even The Almighty Process can't get all 75 guys to see everything the exact same way.

I started reading this link but had to stop myself. I hate when they try to use made up/adjusted stats to excuse crummy production. Sure, let's remove all the drops, throw-aways, and snaps where he faced pressure. Holy cow that brings his completion percentage up from 55% to 67%! If they did that for the other drafted quarterbacks I bet their percentages would go from 65% to 75 or even 80% so his accuracy still sucks compared to his peers. It's not like our offensive line is some juggernaut that's going to insulate him from pressure either. He's gonna face plenty of hurried throws in the NFL if he ever gets past the clipboard holding stage.

Hold on, he apologized AND was humble? That fixes everything. I'm sure there won't be a single player on the team who has hurt feelings or animosity towards him after they found out he showed a little remorse. Apologies when you get put on the spot are usually the most sincere ones, too. Tim Murray should have tried that after calling the boss a .

I have no idea. I don't even know what they were because I get 99% of my Bills information from this board and I'm not sure anyone posted the exact offenses. I just read that they were racially insensitive and the media made a fuss about it just days before the draft. Given that the majority of NFL players are black including the Buffalo Bills roster I'd have to imagine there's at least one guy on the team that would take issue with whatever the comments were, especially since they are all from generation snowflake, amirite? Something, something microaggressions. #bullythebullies

Are the Bills asking him to milk cows and run a thresher? If not, being a farmboy shouldn't factor in whatsoever. Allen will definitely feel more comfortable in the McDermott environment though, so maybe you've got a point. He seems to fit the Christian soldier culture that Mr. Process is installing. It may get a little awkward if any of the black players question him about all the racially charged social media content he deleted from his facebook/twitter/etc accounts though. That may make his environment a little less comfortable.

Noice.

They interviewed a few people (including our AGM) and got turned down. I'm pretty sure the owner admitted to only offering peanuts for both his GM and HC positions. This automatically limits the pool of potential candidates to people who feel like they don't need the money or younger/unproven guys who are willing to work for peanuts just for the opportunity.

I wonder if they're paying him in magic beans.

Why I Don't Want Any of the Remaining Teams to Win.
Drunkard replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
At this point I'm just happy that Boston, Toronto, and Pittsburgh lost, especially Boston. Initially I was rooting for the Sharks so the Sabres would get their 1st round pick, but that's no longer possible. Although I picked Tampa to win it all in that bracket challenge I'm rooting for the Capitals because I like Ovechkin. In the west I'm rooting for Nashville because I have a buddy who roots for them. I'm not really emotionally invested whatsoever though. Now that the teams that I hate have been eliminated I won't be irritated by any outcome but I'd like to see Washington and Nashville meet in the finals with Ovechkin lifting the cup. -
1. Housley and Scandella 2. Not sure. I'm not concerned either way though. 3. I don't see this as an issue. Both guys are good at passing and when they are on the ice at the same time I imagine they'll have no problem passing it to each other. 4. He's been regarded as very defensively responsible. He's probably already on Karlsson's level with respect to defensive abilities. I'm sure him having a bigger frame helps in that regard. 5. What happens when Auston Matthews takes a smaller contract than Eichel (despite superior production) in order to put his team in a better cap situation? Is your anti-Matthews crusade going to become an anti-Eichel one or will you just curl up into a ball and cry while surrounding yourself with your guns, guitars, and banana hammock?
-
That's not enough for Karlsson. You at least have to add Larsson. Or really sweeten the pot and throw in the dynamic duo of Moulson and Pominville. That will really tip the scales.
-
I don't doubt it, but the level of vitriol the mainstream media guys seem to invoke from the locals is near constant. As a non local who has never lived in Buffalo I can't really relate to it. I guess I should consider myself lucky.

Negativity? On the internet?! You don't say.

Evander Kane did very well in his 1st playoff game

He should listen to Brennan Huff:
