Big difference between trading a pick for a 21 year old defenseman vs a 27 year old forward. Hanifin can be seen as a future piece where O'Reilly is more of the win now variety.
-
Doubtful. The teams drafting 4-8 are: 4. Ottawa - likely rebuilding and they have a cheap owner so they'd rather put that money towards trying to resign Karlsson 5. Arizona - recently did this trading a top 10 pick for Stepan 6. Detroit - rebuilding so I doubt they want to give up a young blue chip prospect for a prime vet 7. Vancouver - see Detroit 8. Chicago - Feasible from a contender standpoint but with Kanes and Toews on the books for $10.5 million each I think they'd rather have the blue chipper on the ELC.
-
No sweat. It took me a while to figure it out on the last Sabres board I frequented 10 years back or so. Even if he shuts down his site the joke will probably continue to live on.
-
Yep. Plus the teams who miss out on Tavares and Stastny will likely be incrementally more desperate to improve their team at center. Right now some of the teams interested in O'Reilly may still be holding out hope that they can upgrade with just money. Once those guys sign they won't have that option.
-
I don't think there will be a major trade by us at the draft, nor do I want any of the guys listed to be traded (except for maybe Nylander who isn't worth much anyway). If a major trade did happen I'd assume it would be either O'Reilly or Ristolainen. The best piece coming back would likely be a top 6 forward. As a side note any trade of O'Reilly would like happen after we pay his bonus on July 1st. This should likely increase the price and the market for him because he'll then only be owed $1 million for the 2018-2019 season and by that point we should know where the rest of the big name centers (Tavares and Stastny) will end up. I don't want him traded but it would be smarter to hold off if we want the best value for him.

It's unfair to Dahlin because Casey is a mothering God.

That Eklund guy who posts rumors on his site gives each rumor a rating from E1 to E5 (at least I think he still does, I don't think I've looked at it in years). E5 means take it to the bank. For the record I was using it sarcastically though.
-
I know it's not likely (hence the E5 nonsense) but I'd do it in a heartbeat. Hell, I'd even retain 50% of Bogosian's contract just to entice their cheap owner even further.
-
1. Hoffman for Zach Bogosian - E5 2. Pegula throws some weight around with the gubment so that Hoffman's fiancé isn't allowed to enter the US. 3. Profit

$4.5 million x 4 would be horrible for the team because it would allow him to become a UFA as quickly as possible. They would need to either give him an 8 year deal (likely for more money) so they buy up as many UFA years as possible or bridge him with a 2-3 year deal that keeps him as an RFA at the end of it.

He is an officer ........ and a gentleman. PA, did you spend your youth listening to that punk rock music and bad mouthing your country?

There's not really much they can do. Every state gets a minimum of 3 electoral college votes because each state gets a minimum of 3 congressmen (2 Senators and at least one House member based on population break downs per the census). I think it strikes a pretty good balance giving the Senate equal representation per state and the House getting representation based on population with the EC mirroring that compromise.

+1. You saved me some typing.
-
I know. That's why I'd decline trading him for Hanifin.
-
I'd say no to this because then we'd be looking at Evan Rodrigues as our best LW and Kyle Okposo as our best RW. Puke inducing.
-
I'd like to sign/trade for someone to play LW who is better than Rodriguez but I'd be perfectly fine with leaving a few spots in the bottom 6 open for some of the young guys to compete and see if anyone is capable to playing well enough to earn it over the others.

That sounds fantastic. I don't do any hunting or have easy access to venison, but I imagine it would work well on any type of meat, whether it be beef, pork, chicken, or even lamb. Maybe if I hit the grocery store up and buy the ingredients and print your post for directions I can get the girlfriend to make it. She does 99% of the cooking in our house in exchange for me doing 99% of the dishes and the laundry. More than a fair trade in my eyes since she's an amazing cook and I tend to use the smoke alarm as an oven timer because I can't multi-task for in the kitchen so either something gets forgotten about and burns or nothing finishes at the same time so parts of the meal are cold by the time everything else gets completed. I'm sure I could take a class and learn but I'd rather just do the dishes.

The couple of times I had it (this was years ago so my memory is foggy) it was somewhat bitter because of the dark chocolate. I'm fine with most tomato, tomatillo, or pepper sauces in Mexican cuisine but something about the dark chocolate/cocoa flavor just didn't seem to work with my taste buds. I actually sent it back because it completely ruined the food for me (and it was drenched in it) and I usually never send food back even when they mess something up unless they just send out the complete wrong dish. The other time was a year or two later and I just tried a bite of someone else's after they ordered it and I told them the story about how much I disliked it. Different restaurant but same area/region so it was probably prepared the same way.
-
That'll do for the 2018 portion of the season. Then he needs to replicate it again for the 2019 portion.
-
I've only ever had it with dark chocolate and I couldn't stand it. One of these days I'll have to try a non-chocolate version though.
-
Just point at the picture in the menu. It doesn't really matter though, Mexican food is all the deliciously awesome same. Tortillas with meat, cheese, and vegetables. At least that's how Jim Gaffigan describes it and he should know as a pasty white guy from Indiana. Edit: except for mole. That stuff is disgusting. Who the hells puts dark chocolate in a non-dessert item?
-
Antics. Just wait until Mittelstadt supplants him and has Eichel carry his gear. Then we'll see the real petulant child/entitled millennial in him come out.
-
Why would the Canes trade the better player that's under longer team control at a premium position to move down a spot in the draft? Did Montreal include some sweet NASCAR tickets or a brief case full of cash?
-
If they trade Ristolainen for a left handed defenseman then Botterill should be fired on the spot. We have nobody else worthwhile on the right side. It's not even a given that Dahlin will play the right side yet. Welcome to hockey heaven, Rasmus Dahlin. I know you're a rookie and you need to adjust to NA ice, but we're going to throw you into the deep end immediately and give you all the tough matchups because Zach Bogosian got hurt in training camp and Casey Nelson couldn't handle the tough minutes in preseason after Bogosian went down. Buckle up, kid.

Scandella, Pilut and Bailey - Sabres Next Season?
Drunkard replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
That's who I'd pair him with (on the second paring to start the season at least), assuming they let him have his preference of playing his off hand side. Then I'd hope McCabe rebounds and I'd pair him with Ristolainen to do the heavy lifting.
