No harm in at least looking into the new job, especially since she is leaving of her own accord. If the job is a promotion or substantial raise it may be worth it to pursue, although there's something to be said for stability and job security which you seem to have at your current company.
-
If she's your friend just ask her about work in general and she if she brings it up. If she doesn't I'd bring up that a recruter at the same company contacted you but I wouldn't necessarily say for any specific position and see if any new information shakes loose. If you have no actual interest in the job then you might want to clue her in further and give her a heads up to start networking now. Or maybe she's been promoted and they need someone to fill er old gig. All kinds of possibilities.

That's the same kind of thinking that led to teams in southern florida, Arizona, and Atlanta twice. I bet the people in Milwaukee would appreciate an NHL team a hell of a lot more than OKC.

If we're winning cups like Toews then I sure as hell won't be complaining.

Because up to this point there haven't been California textbooks, New York textbooks, or Texas textbooks, there were just textbooks that were used primarily throughout the entire county. Texas made a big political stink about things and because they make up such a big share of the market the publishers have traditionally just caved and bent to their will. Hopefully that will stop with e-books in the future.
-
Blaming Texas is always a justifiable excuse. With the move to digital the problem will lessen over time but it doesn't eliminate the problem and it will lead to the quality of education being highly different in different states. To take that idea out further though I guess that's already a problem and always has been, even within a single state when you look at inner city vs suburban school districts and the vast difference in education quality, so I guess we'll just continue to deal with it. In the end, those people with weaker educations will be weeded out anyway as I don't see pharmaceutical companies hiring scientists who don't follow the scientific method anyway. The people who get told to ignore true science can always get jobs in Congress or lying on behalf of energy companies as well.
-
The problem with that is text book makers don't print out different versions of books for different states so if a big and populated state like Texas decides it won't buy a text book that teaches evolution without creationism then the publisher caves and prints gibberish and passes it off as a 6th grade science text book. States rights should be infringed on whenever they are denying or trying to deny people constitutional rights that all citizens of this country are entitled too. It should include things like equal rights for all (whether that's in the work place, getting married, adding a loved one to their insurance, etc.) and the right to an education.

Now that's classy. You just need to put some wolves on the sleeves and you'll be set.

Just pin your hopes to the thought of both of them ending up like their heroes/role models. McDavid can be like Crosby and be the best player in the game and Eichel can be like Toews and lead his team to a dynasty of multiple cup victories. Crosby may be the better player in a vacuum but I'd rather has Toews based on their careers so far.

I was hoping Elizabeth Warren would run because she seems to have all the positives of Hillary Clinton (except Bill) without the negative baggage. It doesn't look like she's going to run though, unfortunately. I have no problem with voting for a Republican in theory but I've yet to seem them trot out a candidate that I could actually support. I also fear Jeb Bush the most from the Republican side. I hope he somehow loses in the primaries because I don't see another person in their lot who has a chance to win in the general election.

The tea party likes him so we won't hear a peep about this issue from any of the former birthers.
-
If you're going to go that small it should go to an actual city that would appreciate hockey like Milwaukee but only if they purchase the rights of naming their franchise the Beers from the Southpark guys.
-
Except Cruz was born in Canada. He's still running though.

Can you give me some examples? Are you talking pain medicines, allergy meds, stuff for flus and colds? I'm just curious to find out what type of over the counter meds require a prescription overseas. If I had to guess I'd say Sudafed/pseudophedrine (sp?) because it can be used to make meth but now the government tracks how much you buy and you have to show your drivers license at the pharmacy to get it (at least in North Carolina), even though it's still considered over the counter (no prescription needed).

Yep. It's definitely a problem. Until they stop treating drug abuse as a crime instead of a medical issue it's going to remain a huge problem in this country. Unfortunately with the privatization of prisons and the unions who run the prison guards don't seem to have any interest in doing that, which is definitely a shame because that would alleviate a huge burden on both the judicial system and the prison system. Seems like drugs are only a medical issue when the person who gets caught is rich though and for everyone else it's a crime problem.

I agree. I'll draft up a memo and you make sure it gets to Bettman. Seattle, KC, Milwaukee, Vegas, Quebec, and Toronto part 2. Florida and Phoenix become 2 of the previously listed cities with 4 new teams. Expansion draft will be held next month and anyone still under ELC is exempt.
-
Yes, but the cap is based off league revenues and if they are taking tickets sales from 32 venues instead of 30 it's going to be a higher number, especially since the new teams will likely sell out their first few years minimum if for no other reason than the excitement of having a new team.
-
Expansion is fine now that we are stacked at center. It will make our team all the more talented in comparison to the watered down rest of the league. Plus with all the expansion fees and increase in revenues it should cause the cap to go up and allows us to keep the guys we want to hold onto long term. We just need to acquire a blue chip LHD to replace Zadorov and hope Murray wasn't blinded by familiarity with Lehner.

I'm curious to see how a Las Vegas team will fare. They seem to have local fan support and with the tourism and corporate support and ticket giveaways they should do well financially but I'd also rather see a city like Milwaukee get a team over a city known more for hipsters and emo musicians Seattle or Portland.
-
I expect improvement but not playoffs. Making the playoffs is definitely possible, especially when you look at our forwards, but the defense looks like , especially down the left side. If Ristolainen can transition over to the left hand side and McCabe earns a spot with the big club all year and plays well it could be a solid squad, but outside of that I am not optimistic about them as they currently stand.

Pi is overdone. He'll use e or something with a radical sign. Maybe radical 81 so he can still use 9 despite Kane having it.

I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to do them too.

Funny stuff. I'm glad my boss is on vacation this week, but I may have to shut the door to my office so the other people in the building don't hear chuckling like a blithering idiot.
-
Not bad, but it'll never be as funny and the reviews for the 3 wolf moon shirt.

I was getting ready to comment that there isn't a single natural right winger in that entire list but you forgot Gionta who I believe will play RW on the 3rd line. We also have Deslauriers who will likely be penciled in on the 4th line. Without tradi g away a couple of forwards and sending Legwwand to Rochester though, I agree that we don't seem to have the space for Chris Stewart anymore.
